Honestly this deck was a god send to me because Orcust was my favourite meta deck and lunalights were my favourite casual deck. Man, its gonna suck for me once its no longer meta.

@@sawewfelipe7107 LeoDancer is a great boss monster, and combined with the Kaleido Chick "when banished" effect it will often lead to an OTK in pure builds (you drop 2 Leo in a single turn unless they have multiple negates). I am currently working on add a few tech cards to try and make it a viable deck (maybe even with a 15 card side deck for if I am going first).

I mean, the Lunalight engine is really strong, no doubt (the deck was always a rogue and it topped here and there before the Orcust splash too), but I agree that the real problem are Orcusts, and generic engines in general, which are just bad design in such an archetype focused game (because this happens :p )

@Amil53 An article from June 2018 written by what is probably a MtG player as it references monsters as creatures and ATK as Attack Score had Magic Cylinder among the 15 cards that were incredibly broken and should have been banned but never have. It even read "Magic Cylinder has a similar kind of effect as Pot of Greed" and this video is up on this channel, incidentally, hence the meme :p

The only card that needs to be banned is Mermaid. Being able to play any deck in existence and call it Orcust because you play 4 Orcust monsters and you can do the full combo as long as you have any 2 monsters is just disgusting. Orcusts by themselves are a good deck but I don't think they should get hit too hard.

I've been playing tons of Lunalights since day 1, if they get hit because orcust abuses them I'll be pretty upset. Mermaid needs to get hit by that ban hammer. It's a shame that other archetypes get hit due to poor card design.

Robinson SdG he hard makes the daruma so he has the free zones to keep climbing, if he gnomes the daruma then he goes into azzathot to freeze the nibiru, if he nibirus beforehand he can still extend into the mermaid plays with other extensions. if curious is summoned, its even harder to nibiru that because he gets back free resources from it, i hope this explanation helped.

Pend orcust is good in a vacuum. The orcusts are great extendors/comeback after getting handtrapped. But it bricks so much. I played it myself and it just makes your good hands better and your bad hands worse. Basically if you see 2+orcust cards in hand you are toast. Just stick to endymion/zefra /magicians/mythical beast.

@@rjlee5613 As a big Orcust fan from their first releases il still try to find ways to play them, but for me it was never about an overly splashabe engine but just a deck with a consistent strategy. I like a lot of goober decks so seeing one i love become meta and slowly get killed is pretty dam painful tbh.

pownerify I don’t think it’s going to get killed. i believe just taking away Mermaid will no longer allow Orcust to be splashable and pure Orcust players will just have to find a new type of tech to play in order to get their board rolling without using their Orcust engine right away.
