Yea the dub got what hiei said wrong, its a very weird decision on why they did that but we get visual confirmation later that they share the same mother and this scene in the japanese version of the episode and manga don't have him saying they have different mothers. Just thought i'd point out this error with the dub only since your going to be confused later when really if you had watched subbed you would not be. Having said that im a huge fan of the dub and think its great your watching it but this is one of few errors it made.

Fun fact: Akiyuki Shinbo, the director of Bakemonogatari and its sequels (where the Shaft Head Tilt became well-known), had his big break as episode director and animator in Yu Yu Hakusho. You'll see more of his styles in the series, especially in Hiei vs Bui fight, as well as in the Sensui arc with Yusuke vs the Doctor episode

Rules of the fight are determined by the leaders before hand on the actual stage, rules are then aproved by the judges. It can be 1 vs 1 where the 1st team to gather 3 points wins, it can be 5 vs 5, it can be 1 vs 1 where each round the figher is picked at random (meaning the last fighter may be picked again, regardless of exaustion), You can also do 1 vs 5 if you want, again, leaders decide and accept the conditions. Fighters can also leave the stage, however a countdown does begin and you need to return to the main platform before the coundown ends

The first YYH 'movie' is safe to watch around this point, while the other should be saved until _after_ the upcoming arc. (Also, this list I wrote is too long for one YT comment, so check the 1st reply for the rest of it.) --- *_YYH The Movie: The Golden Seal_* ~ About 25 minutes long. Feels like an early-season 'filler' episode, except with a higher budget. ~ There's a 90's dub (with a different voice cast), and a 2011 dub (with the TV show's cast), so check you've got the right version! *_YYH The Movie: Poltergeist Report_* ~ About 90 minutes long, should only be watched after the Dark Tournament arc. ~ Dubbed, but *not* by the usual voice actors. Kinda rough to sit through, but at least there's a sick combo attack at the end.
