That happened to me. My mil hated me because she said i was too short and ugly for my husband. (Which I don't think I'm ugly). I'm short, but her son isn't that tall he's only 4" taller. . She used to try to get him to leave me and not love my kids. Long list of things shes done to me and my kids, but thats a story for May one day. Lol. I left him for 4 months and he finally realized he needs me. He came to beg me back and we moved 2000 miles away. He loves me now that we aren't around his family. After 20 years all her good nyabs don't want her. She's now living with us and my husband don't listen to her, I don't let her slide. I don't love her like I used to anymore. I don't swim oceans for her I only jump puddles for her and I put her in her place now. I'm slowly forgiving her.

I keep telling my niece about this. Her current bf's family says they don't like her because of her last name. I tell her to not marry into his family. When his family doesn't like you, when your husband gets tired of you, they'll support him in leaving you. They'll even get him to leave you or not love you. You're important, not this man.

I tell my nieces the same thing. If his family don’t like u & he’s not willing to give up his family, they will do everything in their power to cause chaos/strife in ur relationship. One of my niece is currently going thru strife with her in-laws & she’s too nice to say how she really feels to them. She always bite her tongue. I told her to start having a back bone; or move her family away to another state. That way neither of them (my niece & her fiancé) can say to each other, “u do this for ur family, but not my family…” Granted, my niece went into this relationship knowing full well how psycho her in-laws r.
