I think you should keep going after that signal in the bedrock. 35+ years ago, I had 2 different hydraulic pits I hunted, and had found areas of exposed smooth hard bedrock that was absolutely clear and clean with no visible cracks or crevices, but had nice clear focused repeatable signals. I returned with a hammer and chisel and found many 10 to 16 grain well worn nuggets after using this technique. I also used a length of plastic tubing that I would blow through to displace the dust and chips out of the hole I made (sometimes up to 3” deep) and all of a sudden there would be a nugget. If it’s a pennyweight nugget in that spot and you retrieve it, you will have a smile on your face!

Another great video Tim! I think I saw some vg rt next to your nugget! Just to the right of it. 3:18 in the video look to the right of the nug about an inch....I know it doesn't do any good now but maybe you'll remember that Boulder next time you're out there! Wait is that gold at 6:16 in the Boulder on the left, in the rock? I might just be jonesin to see gold but really think it's in the rock!
