Suzie Yeung did an amazing job voicing Yuffie. Those last scenes with those screams were bone-chilling. And the animation was so good showing her expression in her eyes as she watched Sonon die ALSO Tifa teaching Aerith how to hitchhike has got to be one of the cutest things I've ever seen 🥺

I like that even in the end, when she's acting her cheerful self, you can somehow tell that she's forcing herself to be cheerful, like it's not quite the same. It's super subtle and I can't actually tell what about it gives that impression, but despite appearances you can tell the experience affected her.

Zack currently exists in the OG FF7 timeline (The cross in the church is wooden, same as the OG game, but in FF7R its a stone cross). FF7R is now in an alternate version of the world where the original plot points don't have to happen (all bets are off, it doesn't have to follow the story anymore, Aerith probably going to live, maybe Tifa dies?). At the very end of probably the third game, there's going to be a multiversal final fight against Sephiroth starring Cloud, Zack probably the AC kids, Angeal, absolutely everyone from all timelines.

Zack is probably in another timeline. He's carrying the Buster Sword. Many people try to point out different things but most are observations that could be explained. Zack carrying the Buster Sword can't be easily explained unless you say something is happening with the timelines. My best guesses, Zack is in the past. Zack is in a different timeline. Or Zack has somehow been transported to the current timeline. There could be another reason. But those are the best three I can think of without overly complicating the situation Also Sonon is dead, but I think he will probably come back in the future. People keep talking about it as if it's gonna happen in Remake part 2, but dirge of cerberus happens years later so I think it might not happen in FF7R P2. Instead I think they building it up for a Dirge remake. The dlc basically started implanting the story of Deepground, Weiss, and Nero. I think we might get more of it in part 2 but I think they will leave the core of the story for a Dirge remake. We'll see, all we have are theories right now 😁

yes, he's in an alternate timeline... basically the idea is that there will be a timeline convergence... possibly zack and cloud teaming up then fight sephi. then zack dies and so does aerith... bringing this sequel to a full circle.

Max probably got it right: in FF7R they fought fate and destiny and saved a Zack from an alternate timeline, ultimately changing everything. There's likely to be 2 timelines, one where Cloud is the main protag, one where Zack is. In the Zack survives timeline things happened differently and Aerith has died way too early, hence the crying people at the end of Intergrade, because it's a funeral. You'll also notice the flowers are withered and dead/dying without the power of Aerith to take care of them. Both protags are going on their respective journeys to fight Sephiroth who's connected to all other timeline versions of himself (which is why he could block Cloud's omnislash at the end of FF7R), and at some point there will be a convergence of all timelines to fight the ultimate form of Jenova/Sephiroth

This comment got me thinking. I didn't play Crisis Core or Dirge, so I didn't know that Weiss and Nero were once soldiers who were turned into The Sable and The Immaculate by Deepground. But with that info, do you think we're going to see Sonon again as Sonon The [Something]? How much did Nero and Weiss changed after being turned into The Sable and The Immaculate? Were they just normal people before?

Are people crying in the church because of what happened to Aerith….which hasn’t happened yet. So where in the hell of a timeline are you, Zack? These two timelines will cross eventually I assume, but where, when and what will happen? 🤔 As gorgeous as this game looks, imagine Remake Part 2 and beyond. So many locations I can’t wait to see. So many Bosses I can’t wait to fight. And a playable Red XIII and VINCENT!!!!

That Latin choir girl. You know things got real when the choir comes on singing in Latin. The voice acting in this is amazing. Yuffie crying and screaming makes me cry everytime. Her voice actress is perfect. And that end scene where the gang is together just makes me so happy cause it's so wholesome. And Zack, it's true girl what you said, all I want is Aerith and Zack to be together. I want surprised to see him at the end there. Who doesn't love Zack. He was the first model of what I wanted in a boyfriend when that video game first came out. Lol. He is noble, honorable, Endures hardships, Doesn't give up, believes in you and see your potential, and is encouraging, and is an all around great guy and great friend. For me that is why is was super hard on me to see him die. I got so lost in the game that I kinda forgot that he dies at the end and it broke my heart. Seeing where they are rethinking of keeping him alive for the remake made me cry. It was amazing seeing him again.

My theory for the whole Midgar and Zach thing is that the Midgar from Remake got moved to a different timeline. Zach happened to survive because the whispers didn't force him to die. So all the people suffering from the plate falling are now in the past basically. Not sure if the rest of the crew is in this timeline or not but my theory has the entire city being moved to overlap the one from Zach's time. It explains why it looked like Midgar was forming at the end of ff7r in front of Zach's eyes and why refugees are at the church.

Oh yeah, that box mini-game was a bitch! The only way to get the top score is to get every, single, box. I was only able to do it by not only finding the most efficient route through the level and timing my attacks so I'd have ATB on the tough boxes, but I had ZERO down time: the MOMENT the nearby boxes were destroyed, I opened the abilities menu, used target lock-on to throw the shrunken and warp to exactly where I wanted to go, and that was my primary means of travel. After several hours of this and 5 or 6 perfect runs, I FINALLY managed to succeed with roughly 0.24 seconds to spare.

Its just one timeline! There is a big post on reddit last year about it. Basically since the whispers were destroyed, they didn't interfere with Zack's fighting the Shinra soldiers (it shows them in the cutscene) and because of that, he is alive. Personally, I expect him to catch up to the party and join.

I want to share my wild prediction here, I think Square Enix will make 2 different endings in FF7 remake (I hope at least) one the original ending and one alternate ending. Ok, so judging by the end of the video, I'd say Sarah is confused with the whole Zack stuff. ***SPOILERS*** At the end of Remake the party killed the whispers, so now they created a new dimension, in which they can change fate (you can see that the dimension is new, because the dog on the potato chips bag is different). One other difference in this new dimension is having Zack alive. The question is: Is the party and Zack on the same dimension? Probably yes, but it has not been 100% confirmed.

Okay, I finally got a ps5 and played through this amazing game. .... WHAT??? OH, Square your so cruel. I wonder so many things, but most of them about Zack. Where is his scar? why are there two different colored flowers in the church? is this after the sector 6 plate fell or after plate 7 fell.... ? In so much consumer media, from books, movies, music, games - they leave you with no emotional impact and at worse less interested then before. With this crazy little 'video game', it easily throws your emotions from happy, sad, astounded, to desperation like it was nothing. Just amazing.

I feel like if Zack made it alive in a different timeline, which I believe is the only way he still alive. He might entered the timeline which Aerith is died...the scene is after the sector falling, but the people in the church crying are too clean to be the people from the plate falling. So I am guessing they might crying for Aerith. I love Zack and Aerith but I feel like they might end up in happiness.

I think it's an alternate timeline now that they defeated the Arbiters of Fate... I think in defeating them, they brought Zack into this timeline. It just doesn't make sense that Cloud still has Zack's sword

@@kainnak The one thing that makes the prediction fall apart is that; Azul’s character and backstory was already established back in Before Crisis. And you can’t say otherwise that they are going to replace the overall chronology. Instead think of Yuffie and Sonon’s arc as the more compelling version of Sharla and Gadolt’s arc from Xenoblade Chronicles.
