Fun fact: In Egyptian mythology, if the heart of the person being judged in the afterlife is heavier than the Feather of Ma'at, then said heart if eaten by Amut. Since the heart is said to be where the soul resides, said soul ceases to exist when consumed by Amut, so people tend to have amulets and scrolls containing spells that bypasses judgement that would makes one's heart heavier when they're buried to ensure they go to the Field of Reeds, the equivalent of heaven today.
