There are multiple custom web editors for skin creation and even if you didn't use them, it's still not that hard to download a skin template and edit it in a drawing program. The actual hard part of making a skin is pixel art, which doesn't require minecraft knowledge.

I love how giving up the Death Note basically had no effect on anything in or out of the game. He set off a trap that obviously only he could have made, immediately ruining his argument that he didn't know anything about Minecraft, and Ryuk was still there talking to him at the end while he laughed manically, which also shows that he kept all his memories. He just did it so he could fool L into thinking he was a little bit dumb for about a second lol

What do you mean? L has been watching Light religiously and the amount of red stone knowledge one would need for that trap is well beyond something Light could have learned under such scrutiny. Thus L comes to the only reasonable conclusion that someone else had done so and was responsible for all the tampering, thus why he says they are compromised and kills the server. Of course, L had not considered the power of the chip bag, as with it Light was able to stay one foot ahead of him
