Negating Monster Reborn was so much more than just knowing how Atem plays. It was Yugi telling Atem that what is dead should stay dead. It was his way of saying goodbye.

It was also unneeded. Slifer wouldn't have been able to do anything. you can't play normal spells from your hand during the battle phase and at the end of the turn Slifer goes back to the graveyard. It was do to a mistake when they brought the manga to the anime. In the manga Atem had Monster Reborn face down on the field and in the manga any spell card can be played during the battle phase.

I know he said he had no big monsters left, but that doesn't mean he couldn't play his hand, bluff, brick, or otherwise.

i'm glad they gave the monsters some of their iconic sfx for their roars, but i was especially happy to hear Gaia having a human sounding voice and especially Dark Magician and DMG's voices being provided by the same actors who played Mahad and Mana rather than them using generic monster grunts or roars or Dark magician's old sfx whenever he appeared

Yugi figured out how to defeat the three gods from Atem. Atem defeated Strings by using Slifer's own ability against it. Here Yugi does the same, where he forces Slifer to destroy the other gods and itself.

@@davionwilliams4011nah it's not targeting the card "directly", just the 'monster zone'. Yugioh is very specific on these things. A card would say target 'that monster'. Just like how herald of the abyss affects the player even though you're technically targetting a certain monster by declaring their specific type and attribute even able to out a Rhongo.

I know the dubbing was off. Yugi’s voice was always softer than Atem but not higher pitch and Yugi had a slight bass when he got serious. Yugi sounded like an average male teenager during Duelist Kingdom. Season 5 was somewhat regressed in terms of dubbing and animation.

They wouldn’t have helped him much and if we reverse engineer the duel atem would actually have lost quicker if he used any of the effects of ra and obelisk only slifer’s effect was useful until yugi used it against the gods the effects are better if used with one god on the field and other fodder monsters to use but having all three gods and only 2 monster zones he would also lose a ton of card advantage and then there’s the fact that he used up all the monsters he had in hand it would take a couple turns for atem to restock on monsters to use for the effects with all three gods on the field

You should watch TGS anime duel analysis of this duel, there are time Atem missplay, in fact he could've won if he use Pot Of Greed in the main phase one instead mp2 making Slider attack to 5000 instead of 4000, that 1000 attack boost is a difference maker.

I've never played a game of Yu-Gi-Oh in my life, and this battle is still hype. It's a constant back and forth, the symbolism in the cards like Yugi having cards comprised of smaller minions to create a single powerful card (showing how his friends have supported him to become the champion duelist he is today) and the silent magician card's level progression symbolizing his growth over the series. Similarly, Atem has cards like the God cards and his "old friends," the magician duo, using all his most powerful assets from his prime, and of course sealing monster reborn in the gold sarcophagus to literally deny Atem's rebirth. Just fucking awesome.

He could special summon 3 monsters, he started with 2 knights, and by their effect, special summon Jack's Knight too. Slifer also was special summoned(he should have gone to the graveyard at the end of turn, but whatever), and his normal summon was Ra by tributing the knights. Conclusion: Atem cheated 😂😂

The entire fight lasts 3 episodes and half of it is filled with the other characters talking, especially Tea whining about how she wants to keep breathing and then doubting who she wants to cheer for. Also Seto Kaiba's annoying actions of always talking about how Yugi had no chance and wanted to run away. I really can't stand Tea. She just wants to keep breathing and that's why she doubts Yugi. The character with his infatuation is a false snake and that's where Tea bashing people comes from.

The reason why fans don’t like her is cause when it comes to dating prospects Yugi is very desirable and he has shown that he likes her and treats her very well but she takes their relationship for granted assuming Yugi will always be there for her, which is why fans see her as selfish. yugi is everything a person wants in their perspective partner Yugi is kind, sincere, sweet, generous, intelligent, gentleman, caring and more importantly Atem loves him to death which shows you how great Yugi is as a person. Atem is a good judge of character and he was always indifferent to Tea cause in reality she was insensitive to Yugi’s feelings. Rebecca even told Tea that Yugi is very desirable and this girl is a genius.
