II took Glad Beasts all the way to Top 32 of the UK Nationals back in the day. When we had loads of the good spell/traps at 3 like Solemn Judgement, Book of Moon, Bottomless etc. The old 17 trap card line up.

very good deck profile man, i would run less staples but thats personal taste. just wanted to point out that at 3:20 that whole combo would be useless on your opponent turn, as you described, because of augustus effect that would bounce the darius into the deck. other than that, a very good video

Honestly not a great looking deck. 3 Augustus is overkill, take one or 2 out and put in 1 laquari for heraklinos plays. Also secutor needs to be in here if it's truly to be a "turbo" version. Also missing proving ground, and respite. Those double summons will be super clpggy and slow you down in the average game.

Hey guys, what is your opinion on running 3x instant fusion with Gladiator Beast Essedarii and theseus as targets, and throwing a tzolkin engine in there. Also if you need an extra level 5+ glad beast (or just an additional glad beast) you can instant fusion Essedarii, and contact fuse > sending it back to the extra to instant fusion out again. Perhaps you don't have a normal summon but have a test tiger and instant fusion > you can still go off with your plays

Tensu can only be used for beast warriors (which means you can only get an additional normal summon for darius) which is just too specific for a deck that could instead normal summon prisma, bestiari OR darius if you use double summon instead.

Wait, was there seriously a time when Tamer Editor was out and Master Rule 4 wasn't implemented yet? Man I wish I was playing this game back then. And now I'm furious at Konami for master Rule 4 because long-time Glad Beast players like me had a glimmer of hope, but now the deck sucks because you have to commit so many bodies to a Link Summon, which Glads just can't do without expending infinite resources.

I'm so glad that i quit playing this after 6 years. The meta just keep on get more and more ridiculous. Now there's cards that banish the crap out of your main deck and kill the Extra deck, what kind of BS is this. I stopped playing this ever since they brought out those lame ass Xyz, then i started seeing pandalium and now the Link cards. Gladiator beast was my all time favorite deck back in the days alongside, Synchro deck, Dragunity, Infirnity, and Burn decks like Volcanics. But now it the like these arch-type deck are so pointless now and almost unplayable. They're just making it way too easy just to win matches. Whatever i gave up playing this game along time ago and i still have no regrets on quitting playing.

Tamer Editor lets you summon any Fusion with Gladiator Beast in its name from your Extra Deck (except itself), ignoring summoning conditions, once a turn. Really good. Andabata (Augustus + 1 Glad) also does this but only when summoned and only for 7* and below.

I can help out there, but don't take me as gospel or anything -- I quit near the end of 5D's (I was in high school and didn't wanna look uncool), so I can't really talk with much authority about most modern stuff. *__Recommend__* GB War Chariot - If you have a Gladiator Beast out, it negates a monster's effect and destroys it. What's more, it's searchable and recylable due to having Gladiator Beast in the name. The single most important card that isn't Gyzarus/Bestiari. Run three if you can get them. Gladiator Proving Ground - Reinforcement of the Army but for Glads. Useful. Run one or two. GB's Archfiend Shield - One wouldn't go amiss -- it returns to your hand after tag-out and can be easily recycled or searched -- but others seem to dismiss it. IMO it's useful. It only works once but it prevents both battle *and* effect destruction, which makes it a good way to cling on to field presence after e.g. getting Mirror Force'd. I usually use it on Secutor so I can swarm. Stardust Road - Free Stardust Dragon. Run it. But remember that if you use Stardust Dragon's effect, it won't return at the End Phase since it wasn't Synchro Summoned. Waboku - For obvious reasons. Run at least 2. Double Tag Team - When a Glad is Special Summoned, you can Special Summon another from your Deck. Neat-o. Rescue Cat - Summon when you have a Glad(s) out for two Test Tigers to combo tag-in effects. Last I knew (it could be banned now for all I know), it was semi-limited, but you only need 1. GB Essedarii - Fuse any 2 Glads to get this. 2500 ATK, no effect. It's not vital, but it's a good beatstick, and as its above Lv4 its good fusion fodder for Tamer Editor. GB Samnite - Can search a Glad card when it destroys a monster by battle. GB Octavius/Spartacus/Alexander - These have somewhat limited use and can be dead draws. However, they have good ATK, and more importantly, are needed to bring out Tamer Editor. Run 1 of each; drop Alexander if you can't. *__Other Options__* Pitch-Black Warwolf - My own oddball choice. With this out, you're safe from enemy Traps during the Battle Phase. You could run 2, since its ATK leaves it a little vulnerable, but I'd say stick with 1. Defensive Tactics - A slightly worse Waboku, but goes to the bottom of your Deck after use, and since you will be shuffling constantly you could very well draw it again. If you want to use it, keep it at 1. Disarm - Return a Glad in your hand to the Deck to negate and destroy a Spell. Magic Jammer and Dark Bribe are less conditional ways to do this. Handy if you drew a Glad that's better off in the Deck. Parry - Same as Disarm but for Traps. Seven Tools of the Bandit, Trap Jammer, or Dark Bribe can do this job, but again, its handy for returning unwanted Glads. Coliseum - Cage of the Gladiator Beasts - Not needed, but a solid ATK boost if you draw it early and tag your monsters out consistently. Only use 1, if you include it. Gladiator Lash - When you Special Summon a Glad, your opponent discards a random card. Neat, but not important. GB Retiari - Lets you banish a card from your opponent's Graveyard on tag-in, so he's great if you want an extra element of control. Not vital, though -- and thank God for it, because he's bloody expensive. Wild Nature's Release - Gels well with (appropriately Typed) Glads, for obvious reasons. Icarus Attack - Tribute a Winged Beast to destroy 2 cards. Gyzarus can do this for free, but this is a solid secondary option. E - Emergency Call or Reinforcement of the Army - Can search Prisma if you choose to run him. My Body As A Shield - I don't think I need to explain this. Cold Wave - Good for stalling or a safe Battle Phase to tag-out your Glads. It seems pretty OP though so I have a feeling it's banned now? Idk *_Avoid_* GB Torax - Worthless. GB Lanista - Gladiator Beasts' version of Prisma -- but Prisma is better. GB's Battle Gladius - 300 ATK boost is hardly worth the effort, even if easily recycled. GB's Battle Halberd - Superfluous in a deck that already has plenty of options for Spell/Trap destruction. Gladiator's Return - Dead draw. You will probably never have enough Gladiator Beast cards in the Graveyard to meet the criteria, and even if you did, Equeste and Darius exist. It's just pointless. GB's Respite - Returns 2 Glads in your hand to the Deck to draw 3 cards. Good for getting high-level Glads back into the deck where they belong, but that's about it. If you really want a hand swapper, use Magical Mallet instead. Trojan Gladiator Beast - Summons a Glad from your hand to your opponent's field, permanently. Almost useless.
