A very nice option in the Yubel match up right now I found in the youtube comments of Galzo's new Branded build is siding 1 Yubel - Loving Defender Forever. You can use it to remove all monsters of the Yubel board if you manage to resolve a super poly like effect (like Albaz, branded banishment or super poly itself). Not only can you remove your opponent's monsters but also burn them for a lot of damage.

it is, but also isnt as you cant use phantom of yubel as fusion material, so you need them to put yubel on the board during your turn and for you to open albaz to complete it that way. youd be better off with super poly to drop it on them during their turn.

i dunno, it does obviously hurt the grind a bit, but we can just substitute it by playing another retribution and maybe another kitt (it can even add back from banish after using duplication), also don't forget tragedy can set it back from grave too. i was on 2 red before aswell, could be an option. i think we're fine tbh, it's a nice challenge to only run 1 brafu, forces u to think a bit more and makes effects come up which practically didnt before (the ones i mentioned). pak won his locals with post banlist branded btw, worth checking out. i've actually been testing 40 card blind second branded, which i REALLY like atm, breath of fresh air and fuck puppet btw, gotta hate those toxic ass floodgates.

ladd also is a play you have if they shifter you but you can still search branded fusion by using light albion with main deck albion

U can use springan kit to get branded fusion back from the grave I would use 3 personally

@itstheclown5929 yeah I've tested with 1,2 and 3, personally 2 seems perfect for me, it's nicer as a follow up turn 2, but trad is getting back turn 2, so it gives you the ability to hold it for turn 3 and the grind game

The reason why you dont see the deck compete at higher tables is caused by several factor including imagine playing 11 rounds perfect like PAK and dominate with it the deck has sooooooo crazy lines so in order to play it you have to know several crazy interactions high skill ceiling

Seems pretty standard. How far out of your way do you have to go to make LADD fusion?

@jtm94 that's the best part that nothing has changed, To make LDD you need to get to Lubellion and albion and then cartesia fuse, there are other ways like branded in red and the branded trap, but it's more a spercific option that you go to for that reason of the negates

LADD is super easy to make. Just go the standard combo route you would for the puppet lock, i.e. you end on Mirrorjade, Lubellion, Branded Lost + X with the Albion fusion in grave. End phase Albion sets Branded Banishment (trap). Draw Phase you activate Banishment and reborn Albion and fuse it with Lubellion and you get LADD plus the search of Lost (LADD doesn't negate it).

@@zephyrwargamesyugioh LADD only negates the activation of Spell/Traps not their effects. Lost is already on the field, thus already activated. It negates the activation of monster effects though, which means that as long as LADD is on the field you can never activate Mercourier as CL2 in reaction to a monster effect, as LADD is mandatory even if it's ATK is too low to negate, it always triggers as CL2. So you haave tog et rid of LADD in order to use Merc.

@antoniodales958 I mean your not doing much if BF gets negated, that's where your fall back or thrust or nadir come into play, which can still set up LDD by getting albion to GY and lubellion to board, the LDD is just another nice addition to your ideal endboard, nit so difficult to make if you go off, but not a core component that you can't play the deck without it

The Branded Fusion hit was only to discourage people from playing the deck and to buy the current good stuff. All they had to do was ban Puppet, Ido, Ra's Disciple and anything like them and Branded would be fine.

Tbh, they should just have banned Sanctifire. Better ban the enabler of these locks than ban like 10 cards that more or less all do the same. Its a Halq situation in my book. The only reason these cards are a problem is because we can give them to our oppononet with Sanctifire. No Sanctifire, no lock.

I miss the old way Branded used to be. Back when most bitched about double Masquerade burn being the worst thing the deck could do. Alot of potential for creativity if the deck didn't have Cards like Branded Expulsion and Sanctifire. The Expulsion ban was pointless when Konami made the effect stronger by putting it on an easy to bring out Monster. It's like fixing a problem and landing on solution with the intent on introducing a bigger one. Wtf Konami lol
