These kids are singing with their heart and they are all adorable. Rosas Pandan is a farm girl, when she arrived in town, the folk people requested her to sing and dance, and Dodong when he saw Inday (Rosas Pandan) dancing, he was captured by her beauty and sensuous movements, that Dodong's mouth was full of saliva. ha ha ha. Rosas literaly is rose and pandan is a kind of green plant with monocotyledon or parallel leaves that is 12 inches long or more. this plant smells good when placed in cooked rice. figuratively, Rosas Pandan may mean beautiful farm girl. I live in the Samar island which is part of the Visayan Islands, this is a popular song in our place. God Bless Russia. Thanks for appreciating our folksong.

Sandy Orpeza thank you for enlightening it for us. It is similarly close to a Jose Marti’s and Cuba’s classic folksong (but more melancholic) ‘Guantamera’ - a girl from Guantanamo.

Hi Sandy, I used google to translate in Russian what you wrote :-) "Эти дети поют от всего сердца, и все они очаровательны.

This "Balitaw" is my only offering, the only legacy from my forefathers. A song that is ancient, the pride of our mountains. Here is my "Balitaw" as I dance beautifully to it.
