so my theory as to how Yuji has "awakened" is simple when Yuji was going to activate his final black flash against Mahito, it was stated it was as if he were able to now activate it "at will". I think here, he was already very close to transcending, as he did manipulate the black flash and use it when he needed to, despite it being believed that he can't. Doing something that none other could. I believe that Yuji at that moment of hitting the black flash against Mahito had to just use it one more time to either "awaken" or "transcend" cursed energy and it's fundamentals and as of this chapter, he has finally done it. What will he gain from it? Idk, maybe black flash at will? or the utilization of something new? We will see. I'll get into this a lot more after reading the real chapter, and forming an "analysis" for it in my review, so be sure to check that out when it drops, as again, leaks are all very brief & miniscule details of what's going on in the chapter.

here's the problem with this theory. If Yuji is made to do it at will, so should Sukuna. Remember Sukuna was in Yuji all those times when he was almost activating it at will and he was observing. Moreover, Sukuna is someone that can see ANY application of CE done once and can immediately replicate it. If we are going logically, Sukuna would also be able to do it at will (if Yuji can) and his should be more dangerous cos of how much of a genius he is and his experience. Even the soul strikes from Yuji, Sukuna should already be able to replicate it cos its an application of CE and he meets the condition of being aware of the outline of his soul but I'm almost sure that for plot sake [and convenience and not to piss off fans], Gege would not go this route

Kinda hope he gets an ability like Baryon Mode Naruto had (as you pummel people, they lose a lot of CE -- Naruto's version drained chakra or perhaps not even that... literal life force, until the guy only had a few minutes to live)

I was about to say that most of us never questioned Yuji's black flashes not cause his the protagonist but cause it was somewhat always clear he can do it whenever he wants just under specific terms. From his divergent fist it was kinda clear that Yuji could displace curse energy from his energy alone, so him mastering his energy would be in every reasoning to allow him to use black flash as his base techniques refined form. Take it like this, Yuji can make good knives as a blacksmith but always had the potential to make a good sword

Divergent fist really isn't supposed to happen funny enough, it only happens because Yuji lacked experience with using CE, the first hit would through someone off and then they'd reduce their CE shielding, then the divergent fist would kick in right after and absolutely destroy them, that's what caught Mahito off guard in shibuya in his final form. Mastering divergent fist I assume would allow him to time when the delayed attack would come in and through off his opponents

So who has the better chance of learning the timing needed for a black flash? The guy who has to know timing better than everyone else on top of hitting black flash consistently. Now he has control of his divergent fist and also knowing how it feels to black flash it would be easy to presume he does know how to do it on command

I’ve been saying this for years- Perfected Divergent Fist equals Black Flash. What used to be a by product of Yujis physicality and lack of knowledge led to a “delayed hit” with his CE. Every sorcerer that sees this comments on how strange it is that Yujis CE hitting has a lag because he is super human powerful without CE. Yuji got a hang on his cursed energy hitting milliseconds behind his super human strength. He can forcefully time them to hit at the same time now and when that happens “Cursed Energy flashes black.” Gege literally told us that so many chapters ago during to Todo training. Yuji is built for forced Black Flashes, literally.

I don't think it's confirmed that Yuji's cursed technique is blood manipulation. It's confirmed that he can use the technique, but not that it's his technique. There's a difference. He can also swap bodies, but that's also not his cursed technique. I think we're being shown Yuji, much like Sukuna, can somehow store cursed techniques of various kinds and then 🎉use them at will.

I think yuji ct is not blood piercing, its the abilities of stocking ct's infinitely (also depends if the body can hold it, so he probably isn't able to copy purple), his only original ct is interacting with the soul/ce, but with that ct he can stock more and more, if thats right, thats really broken

Sukuna is just getting nerf after nerf. @@michaelsky251 I mean that’s fair to like it I love this story too, but being unpredictable isn’t what I’d call it, everything that’s happened has been pretty much what I thought was going to happen for like 20 chapters, the last thing I didn’t expect was Gojo dying the way he did, but we knew he had to die or was probably going to do, then I knew Kashimo wasn’t going to do anything, I knew Higaruma and Yuji and Choso weren’t going to do anything, I knew that Higurumas abilities wouldn’t work as intended, Actually I lied the last thing that shocked me was how Takaba went to fight Kenjaku, and how Kenjaku died, that i actually enjoyed a lot, up until the underwhelming death. But then I mean it was writing on the wall, because Gege thinks he’s subverting expectations by doing exactly what we think he’s going to do 🤣 to me it’s been pretty obvious what’s going to happen based on how the story has been progressing, you just give Sukuna plot armor and then boom yo get the last 20 chapters 😂
