I don't think Megumi will be able to use Sukuna's techniques to the full extent if he's rescued and recovers. This is because Sukuna has a massive cursed energy reserve, as do Yuji thanks to Kenjaku. Sukuna's is doubled pretty much, thanks to him absorbing his twin. Now, someone correct me if I'm wrong but i don't think Megumi was known for his near limitless endurance in using cursed energy. So, something like malevolent shrine should drain the hell out of him if he managed to use it just once for a short period of time. How's he gonna overcome that limitation? There's nothing setup for that... unless Gege throws in some system to bypass that, which would have everyone looking like 👀 "how the hell?"

Imo sankuna was more sorcerer than curesed spirit, his shrine has been a physical representation of that. His new shrine is more monstrous. sankuna could be evolving further like maheto and Tengen. There’s precedent for most of the stuff that happens in jjk the only “asspulls” would be binding vows but again those have been a part of the story since the very beginning giving something up to pulls out something you shouldn’t have or be able to do is an established part of the story. I think the best person to have swapped with would be Hakari after kusakabe. Hakari's soul granting yuji a domain expansion. If that is the case, Yuji still wouldn't have used it cause, the goal is still to save Megumi, a DE would weaken yuji, and he would lose a DE clash. I think Yuji wants to pull Megumi out, weaken Sukuna further then DE.
