Black flash is practically 2 attacks occupying the same space within small time intervals of each other, first the attack(punch or kick) then the curse energy. It increases the force to the power of 2.5. So 10 N(newtons) of force with the black flash does 316.2 N worth of damage.

Something interesting about how Japanese is spoken is that tone alone can change the meaning of what is being said, so its actually not too crazy for Megumi and others to understand Inumaki's ingredient language using that premise as a base.

Inumaki's speech pattern actually has somewhat of a pattern when you observe him more closely. It's just we're still not all that familiar with him yet, that opportunity is coming. If you pay attention to what he says you'll realize that he says the same things in similar situations aka they're like little codes only the people close to him who've spent their days around him can understand without a hitch.

Major mistranslation at 16:14. The subtitled version got it wrong first, but I'm honestly annoyed that the English dub missed the opportunity to correct the mistake. Black Flash does not do "2.5x the damage", that's the mistranslation. It's supposed to be "to the power of 2.5". Which is VERY different; 10 x 2.5 = 25, but 10 to the power of 2.5 = 316. This is meant to be fun trivia for you, but also so you can fully understand how powerful the Black Flash technique is.

18:15 fun fact the idea of ''Black Flash'' and how Todo explains it are very real concepts both in real life and virtual combat. it manifests when two warriors or challengers of equal strength clash, time and space distort as the usual active calculations like the next move in chess for example are done without thinking. you know your opponents best move, you know your opponent knows your best move as well as his own best move. it is a clash within seconds in which all information is on the table. in that instance you communicate with your opponent without words, and like Todo says it is the mark of one who can become truly strong at what they're doing. best explanation is like this. as a child we learn not to touch a hot stove, then we touch it once we make the mistake and we learn. from that moment on that memory of hurting/failing yourself and burning yourself on the stove is etched into you forever. without thought you will always realize and know that the stove that is hot will burn you. this is the same type of thing, except for burning yourself on the stove it is with strategy and combat. it is the quality of how a chess master knows who will win on turn 8 when it is turn 2 for example. it is the swordsman who uses his sheathe to block and his blade to strike. it is one who uses his curse energy with feeling instead of thought/concentration. and from the moment one has experienced such a moment, one cannot go back. any lower type mental opponent won't stand a chance, like playing checkers vs chess.. it would be like having a shoot out between a old shotgun, and a high caliber rifle. you'd be shot dead within an instance.

just in case, you mentioned hanami (the nature curse) using reverse cursed technique. Curses can NOT use rct. Cursed spirits are monsters made solely from cursed energy, which is negative. Because they're cursed spirits, they can heal way more easily than sorcerers can, becuase you need rct to heal as a human. Since rct is positive energy, if you output that positive energy into a curse, the curse would basically die in one shot, because of the negative energy flowing through the cursed spirit is erased from the positive energy gained from rct, which only sorcerers can do

The cursed speech user essentially assigned a simple translation to the ingredients he says. I don't know them off the top of my head, but it is consistent through the series which word means "yes" which one means "no" and so on for a handful of words. People who interact with him often would know which words mean what, but most other people can only guess by his gestures.

Curses are under no obligation to conform to gender roles. We've seen curses based off of literal articles of clothing for example. I would not be so fast to assign such concepts to those. That said, everywhere I have seen subtitles and such refer to Hanami it has be with feminine pronouns.

A black flash is actually an exponential increase on the attack power of an attack not just 2.5 times the base. Think 10^2.5 = 316 vs 10 x 2.5 = 25. It's much more powerful than was stated.

First rule of battle, NEVER put your most powerful foot forward. Doesn't matter if you don't "enjoy" fighting or not. Don't do it. The most powerful attack has the greatest impact, yes, but it also costs the most energy. Just because you're using your best shot from the get go, doesn't mean that'll net you a win every time. And every time it doesn't win the fight instantly, you're at a massively increased risk of being killed. This is why Domain Expansion is a last resort move, it just massively chunks your cursed energy, and disables your cursed techniques for a while after it ends. So if you don't manage to kill ALL your enemies when you use it, you've basically just instantly lost. If you don't know the capabilities of your enemy, and you can't be sure if they have backup on the way or not, this rule goes even harder. So basically there's a reason it's called a TRUMP card, because a lot of the value of it, is keeping it hidden until the moment it would be the most effective.

Even in a certain 1v1, always gauge and raise the pace as needed. This is why I would start fights in Orthodox while I'm naturally a Southpaw. The switch-up ALWAYS throws people off, and fighting in my natural stance has a different flow/tempo to it. It's all about taking what makes you great and setting that up at the start, so when you really need it - it becomes explosive.
