Yeah I think Sukuna is gonna get away next chapter probably thanks to Uraume jumping in, and be able to recover all/most of his power before having one final showdown where Yuji fully overpowers him. My wishlist right now is: Yuji using Nanami's cleaver to Black Flash 7:3, Yuji using Red Flowing Scale like Choso, Yuji awakening the Antigravity System cursed technique from him mother, Yuji using a simple domain that he learned from Kusakabe to power through Malevolent Shrine.

I don't think Yuji has got Shine, or Cleave and Dismantle, from Sukuna being a part of him. I think thats a misdirection. I think that IS his innate technique. His of the same blood after all. I think its always been there. Gojo may have just assumed that the reason he was able to sense it dormant within Yuji was due to the whole, Sukuna inside him thing. Or he maybe have been able to tell the difference, but since Yuji was utterly incapable of using it at that point and he didn't know why Yuji would just happen to have the same tech it seemed better to just say... "Oh you don't have one but you'll eventually be able to use Sukuna's". I don't think the fight is over yet, Sukuna isn't finished. Because we STILL don't have an anwser to WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK FUGA IS.

I can see a way for Sukuna to escape his predicament and still continue the story. Yuji’s soul punches that are fucking him up is because he’s still using Megumi’s body. He’s going to have to jump if he wants to have any chance. He might enact merger somehow before. Either that or he’s going to have to use his black box technique. Sukuna after losing three hands, having no heart, stopped using rct and still brain damaged from gojo also after taking 8 blackflashes hasn’t been phased by any of the damage he has taken so far and is currently more annoyed that it is yuji hitting the blackflashes than that he is getting hit with it… I’m not joining the hype until sukuna surrenders. We know that we always get the build up followed by sukuna just destroying everyone so until sukuna surrenders or is completely exorcised I’m not joining the hype

I sincerely think this is the most hype I've ever felt in a shounen. I've been around watching anime for a minute. Anyone else feel that? The way Sukuna is losing his composure, the absolute locked in stoic nature of Yuji, breaking his own limits. It captures the idea of indomitable will unlike anything else. This is the greatest "war" arc in shonin for one reason. It is a very intimate affair with very few moving parts. For example, most war arcs boil down to a long string of more minor conflicts that usually don't do much to the other encounters, and an emotional payoff is the most you will get, but really removing them usually doesn't change anything about what goes down. If you are a fine of that particular character? Cool, otherwise it's just not that interesting. In contrast, this arc is *all about* Sakuna, this single entity hyped up to be the strongest sorc that has motivated every faction, both human and cursed, to behave in a particular way. So that when Sakuna finally gets his freedom at the most unexpected moment, it is a minimal cast of characters of about 8/10 who actually have a reasonable crack at him who we know to be *extremely capable* in some form or other, yet despite being incredible means that their entire might make for minimal gains. Every wound inflicted on Sakuna feels like a bit of progress toward the end goal, but because every character is pitching in, it feels like an actual labour. Plus, it is the *only time* we actually see these grade 1 sorors work together; practically every other time, they are all acting in self-interest or need to be coordinated better, but here, it feels different. Even Kenjaku's arc has a purpose, showing an immortal being finally getting what he wanted but never realised, a genuine connection with another man. Of course, the most spirited battle was Gojo vs Sakuna because it was finally watching two Titans hit each other with everything they had and witnessing the sheer insanity of two men divorced from reality by strength.
