In this video, we review the newly released distortion-specific pedal MS-200D+ and the space/modulation-specific pedal MS-70CDR+ from ZOOM! Although these are relatively inexpensive pedals, I was amazed at the quality and variety of effects they offer. I hope you enjoy them along with the wonderful guitar playing of our guest, Kyohei Ariga! If you enjoyed this video, please hit the like button and subscribe to the channel! (i'm sorry to comment in English, my Japanese is super bad and super rusty now OTL). I used to have the prior version MS-70CDR (lent to a friend and never get it back). It works like a magic to me. I do have processors like GT-100 and Helix LT, but found them too heavy to commute with (imagine taking one of those with a guitar on the back while taking a motorbike taxi to the rehersal studio). I ended up building a small pedal board with a few mini pedals instead. Instead of putting multiple modulation effects that I probably used once or twice on a gig, the MS-70CDR can replace them all with ease, given than you do some homework on what effect to use in what song. The only downside I found with that old version is it sucks out the high frequency of the signal. Even when it's off, your guitar will sound darker with it in the chain. Now with the MS-70CDR+ is out and should be available in my country (Thailand, if you're curious), I'm going to try one out and see if the bypass tone is good now. I might buy one out on the spot :).

The MS-70CDR+ feels less loss in the higher registers. I hope this gets to you someday!
