@@andresbravo9717 yeah they did that because at the time Baki was a newer character in his own titular series so personal character development had to be worked into every fight he experiences, which plays a huge role in the way he earns others friendships and respect. But now that he's older it gives the writers a chance to show that progress through the story instead of making the story through character development, pretty smart tbh. We pretty much know Baki and we all root for him, now we just gotta see how these events affect him and the people in his life. 4th season will be even better by the looks of how season 3 ended.

Honestly I expected Ryu Kaioh to give Yujiro more of a fight than that, he seemed to come off as this great Kaioh master for not only training Retsu but Dorian and yet he is utterly destroyed here. I don't think Yujiro beat a "high-level" fighter so brutally either, I mean ripping his face off on top of defeating him with a couple of attacks. Shoot Doppo gave more of a fight. The top Kaioh's were Kaku, Ryu, Retsu and Dorian, yet Ryu really shouldn't be among the top Kaioh's after this humiliation and Dorian is no longer mentally capable and Kaku is too old and of course Retsu, poor Retsu. The Kaioh's are a deteriorated title now.
