How I yearn for warmth and home, this icy hell it feels unreal! But in the darkness bare, gazing through the cloudless air. High above the moon is shining brightly on without a care. We are prepared for death, fighting to our final breathe. Longing for battle and to do our country proud! But how the faiths have frowned, marching through the snowy ground. To freeze to death is not an end a soldier ever thinks he'll meet. Such is the way of life, only hardship, pain, and strife. Not that the high command thinks much that we'll return again.
