Great video and listing parts was super for my 2017 Yukon XL. Even a novice could be a repair pro after this video. Also, found (possibly too late; we'll see) a notice in 2020 about a replacement but no need to then as everything was working. Hope to get my money back on a reimbursement from GMC or dealer.

Wife and I are planning on adding to our family, if so we're goin to need and SUV with two dogs and a 3yo plus the new addition. She wants a Yukon or Tahoe, good thing to look out for. I was a tech for Chevy for a number of years. And this is the first time I'm really hearing about this issue. I think I replaced one set if my memory is correct. But it was still under warranty and the SW was able to get the tail lights covered. I'm surprised there has been no lawsuit for the early AFM/DOD Lifter Failures. Before someone thought it was a good idea to take out my 09 Avalanche by running into the back of it while it was parked on the street. I was planning on doing a Cam with AFM delete kit for that very reason.

Good video Travis. I put the Lasfit license plate lights on my blue Silverado. They are so bright that they kind of wash out my back up camera at night. Let me know if yours does the same thing.

Both are burned out at same time...yet trailer plug brakes work and third center still works...where is the fuse location and is it common for both sides

@@TWAMotorsports on my 2016 it did it.. i had to replace the harness from light to body harness and buy aftermarket lights .. all factory lights burn out... the copper circuit board is trash .. To then they melt apart
