The same method is used in Appalachia. A channel named Stoney Ridge Farmer. In Canada, Off the Grid with Curtis Stone. The world is remembering the midaevil farming methods. Moveable fences and organizing the manure and hay seeds to improve area s in need.

I’ve been watching you guys since before your little guy was born but don’t think I ever left a comment. I just want to say, this Xmas, a heart felt thank you. Watching these beautiful vlogs brings some much needed peace into my life and is so inspiring. You guys work so hard and are so committed to forging your a life on your own terms and I only wish there were more human beings on this beautiful planet who would try and do the same. My own son is profoundly autistic and is only really happy when in nature, but I’m a single father raising him alone so we have to stay in the city for now for his specialist schooling, but once he is grown I want to get some farmland here in Australia and make my own home, raise my own animals and grow my own food so that we can both live free and in peace, and seeing you guys do what you do gives me belief that with enough hard work I will one day be able to make it happen. I commend you both on all you do. In my youth I lived in a remote North America cabin without running water or electricity and I know that it is a lot of work each and every day. You are also raising young Ivar and your livestock and in addition, creating videos. It seems that having a KZbin channel is a double-edged sword. So many of us appreciate and enjoy you sharing your life and then there are others who look to find fault. I know that must be very discouraging at times. I appreciate so much seeing your videos and especially when you are all working together and Ivar is learning right along with you. Thank you so much for sharing your advent traditions. It is unrealistic and incredibly unhealthy. Part of being a ln adult human is to learn to how to deal with opposing or different opinions. If you dont like them, choose not to tead them , its a really simple answer. Everyoneust have yhe right to express their opinions ,whether we agred or disagree with them is our choice. Iron sharpens iron. Their life is no harder than anyone elses in that respect and the difficulties they life with as hardships is entirely their choice. Back in the day when i was raised without modern conveniences it was bcos there werent any available, nowdays its a choice individuals make to live without modern conveniences. Her parents have them and they enjoy them when there. I am therefore not condemning them for their choices, merely suggesting your comment is irrational. They don't appear bothered by negative feedback, in fact they appear rather well balanced with the amount of global coverage they get. This is the new way of living your life in public and therefore there ars going to be far more inherent negativity and even dangers. One must accept this when living your life in the public's eye. The rich and famous have had to do this for many years. If we're not careful ,this lifestyle is eventually going to end up in Courts and Govts will take the power and legislate what people can say or not say. And we will all live in communist type countries, where we've relinquished our individual rights completely. There are oeople working on doing this now, even as type, in yhe UK and USA. BE very careful what you wish for.

I would say, we are already free, most just don't know it yet. Most do not know which tacit contracts they have with the so called "government". And most of those who call themselves "government" don't know that they are personally liable for their own actions. They hide behind fictional entities like the "government" and say things like, I am just doing my job, while acting like you are their property.

I had a hard time understanding what you said about a person complaining about your method of sheep slaughtering? Did I understand that right? And you said the person wasn't an elected official who complained, but he or she did complain to your gov officials? It certainly is discouraging when people jump to conclusions from only partial facts. There will always be people who try to tell others what to do, (happens all the time here in the USA). People should be free to act in their own best interests as long as they aren't blocking other peoples' rights, I agree with you. Keep on living a good wholesome life! I am a farmer in Indiana! If at all possible plant a crop of alfalfa! You explained you are trying to graze on hardpan ground. The alfalfa is a hardy type of hay while placing nutrients into the soil as a gift. Aeration will also help. You will probably never have top soil again, but make use of what you have. Just a little old farmer advice from the U.S. I wish you luck.!

It’s totally the wrong time of year to be telling you this except that it will get you thinking about it before Spring. You would very easily be able to grow kale in your garden. With the risk of frost you often endure at the end of summer, kale would be perfect (it sweetens after a little frost). I’d recommend doing some research and see what you think. Kale offers the advantage of harvesting leaves as it grows. I typically wash the leaves and either eat them right away or I freeze them. It’s wonderful to throw in soups or stews. If anyone thinks there is a superfood (other than meat haha), it’s the colour green☺️

My father’s family is German. I grew up doing an advent calendar/yule calendar and we always make Gluhwein (Glogg) for the holiday season.

Just discovered Talasbuan videos and they are amazing! Beautiful family, animals, scenery, topics and all! Superbe! What a beautiful way of life! How ironic...I live with all the comforts and luxuries that one could wish for and I envy you for the way you live! The world would be a MUCH better place if everyone went back to that way of living. I can imagine that it could be hard work at times but it would certainly be all worth it. The rest of us who lives with all the luxuries seem to be much more stressed and anxious and are never satisfied with what we have, always wanting more and more , instead of aiming to live a more simple and genuine life. We have lost our touch and appreciation for nature and how it can provide us with almost everything that we need. Instead, we drive to the grocery stores to buy all our food , and don't even care or know where it comes from or how it was grown. I lose myself watching your videos and dream about how it would be beautiful to live that way. That is what REAL life is all about. In Calgary we are having some drought and it’s hard for the farmers to make hay for the winter. Also the grain farmers are saying that the grain is not growing as much as they want. We have a mild winter because of what they call El Niño the warm air is coming from the Pacific Ocean. Take care and enjoy your festivities!🎄

The best book that I have come across that gives a very good explanation of this phenomenon is "The Most Dangerous Superstition" by Larken Rose. It is a small book that is very well worth a read. Everyone that reads it would on some level understand how this specific superstition is the reason for the state of things today. And yes, you're right. That which we focus on grows. It is a balance, you also need to be aware of the happenings in your surroundings.

Permaculture thinks also about gravity. I suggest to start using hay bales at the top of the hill and gradually zig zag down to the bottom. Much less effort to push the bale guard downhill, rather than uphill. Best of luck and thank you for your channel. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
