Thank you.

About your barbecue question. It is to GRILL in American English also. Meaning to cook over an open flame, usually on a gridiron. To grill also means to question someone intensely (in American English). To grill someone this way implies that they may have done something wrong. Most Americans prefer grilled food to being grilled about what they've been up to.

Have you ever watched a channel called "My self reliance"? Shawn talks a lot about the forest he lives in in Canada. He believes in diversety in the forest. He has also harvested lots of trees for the cabin that he built making sure that he saves those trees that are beneficial for diversety and and cutting down the trees, when removed, to bring more sun light into the forest to let the young ones grow.

Hello from Georgia USA!!! I am a beginner in beekeeping, but I do have 2 top bar hives my husband built. I recall that you recently built your hives. Since it is only the beginning of your warm season, maybe they need more time. I’ve been leaving the hives alone and letting the bees be bees. I won’t even think of extracting honey sooner than a year after installation of the bees in your hive

Inside cooking when meat is put under the heat source inside the oven, Usually a separate compartment" is called a "grill", in the U/S its called a "boiler. or maybe broiler."

Hello from Texas! Your bbq came out amazing! Franklin is a leader in traditional style bbq in America. He is A very known name here 🥰 I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your life. Some tips for the words you were looking for. Needle hat = crocheted (pronounced crow-shade) (item) made with 1 needle. Knitted (item) = made with 2 needles. So, knitted hat, or crocheted blanket. Flask = bottle or with sprayer (top) = Spray bottle. The word flask can be used for a pouch or canteen or water (portable water container with a strap). But, most commonly we use the word flask as a small portable container of alcohol, like whiskey. 🥃 cheers to y'all from Texas!

Lovely to see - the field looks great, congratulations on the meat! In UK English grill and barbecue are similar words and they are not used precisely - Grill = inside or outside, open, not really covered, heat from above or below. Like a grill in an oven with the heating elements above, door open. Or a grill over a fire (which some people call a barbeque) Barbecue = outside, purpose built - metal, brick/block, covered, using smoke. Condiments = mustards, sauces, dips

Fantastic video, as ever. In English, the vertical timber used to edge doors and windows is known as the 'jamb'. Quite tricky to judge the correct length in your cabin construction, but I can see that the 'keying in' detail works well to minimize problems. I have a similar issue with the size of my front door: in the dry seasons it is more or less a perfect fit for the aperture, but in the wet, damp seasons it swells to a larger size and is difficult to get closed.

Wonderful video! So enjoyed it! If we lived in Texas, I would love to have you as our guest! But alas-we live in Idaho! We say we “grill food on the barbecue” These words are quite interchangeable. The barbecue is the housing (outdoors) that holds the charcoals, wood, whatever is your source of fuel and the grill is the slotted rack on which we place the food items on within the barbecue. In the house oven we would call it broiling. Outdoors = barbecue. Whatever!!! You got your point across perfectly! Our love to you all!!

People in the US, Canada and Australia grill meat or other food on a BBQ (called a barbie in Australia). The other you mentioned is called a smoker, where you can smoke fish, meat, duck or anything really for several hours to get the smoky flavor in the cooked food. In England we call it BBQ/ Barbecue, or cooking on a fire. Grill in England is the smaller section of the oven (if your oven has two sections) and is for toasting ( heated from the top only) or If your oven has only one section then there are setting just for the top to heat so you can grill(but u keep the oven door open) Nowadays everyone has toasters so ovens tend to not have a grill. Grill might refer to a gas (I think ) outdoor BBQ nowadays, but its definitely a BBQ with wood or coal. We might use the word grill where we cook on the hob and you end up with the lines across the meat.

I live in the South eastern part of the US.(North Carolina) The south uses Barbeque as a noun not a verb. So we eat Barbeque which has been slow smoked with hardwood overnight. If we cook meat over high, direct heat it is called grilling (to grill meat). It is not the same all over in the US. I look forward to your vlogs as often as you can. BTW, the dark edges are called "burnt ends". Some people really enjoy this part.
