I didn't even knew that Yume 2kki exists, just tried to play it in online and it's such a crazy experience. By my own preference I use immersion mode and don't use wikis and navigator, so it feels just like Yume Nikki but with new worlds and with a chance to randomly encounter other players and say "hi" to them

Ah that's totally fair. And I totally agree that that's the best way to experience 2kki, in my opinion. Just going in blind and only using the wiki if you're really stuck. The only thing that might be useful is looking up guides (or asking other 2kki players) to find some basic effects (chainsaw, fairy, bike, etc.), as a lot of dream worlds do require the use of effects.

I feel like everyone should have their own personal copy offline first that hopefully runs well and doesn't take up too much space, that they can either take their time with or be a pro at or something, and then... they could enjoy their time online pretty well, maybe. :p

@@andreimircea2254 Ah it's alright!! I miss the more illustrated aspects of the videos too. I really enjoyed the look of them. But given the time and energy required, plus the lack of return/interest just makes it not feasible for me to make such videos anymore. I'm kinda forced to treat KZbin more as a side hobby nowadays (hence also the lack of uploads). Which sucks, but sadly nothing I can do about.

Honestly same. Wallpaper completion is probably the easiest. Soundroom is constantly being updated, but doable. Plus it kinda gives you indicators what worlds you haven't visited yet. Map completion though.. oof. Still, it's nice to have little objectives to work towards when playing 2kki 😊 Best of luck to you!!

Don't know how I feel about 2kki being multi-player, takes away from the vastness of a dream in the original. All I know is it feels like we're in the metaverse, and that's funny as hell, haha.

Ah that's fair. Though tbh when you're exploring the deeper dream worlds, its rare to run into other folk. Plus you can always disable to the multiplayer function. Most people tend to hang out in either the Nexus or one of the pretty worlds.

For my experience, you only have to get a little bit deep for the player to dwindle out and I actually think its really cool running into the occasional player super deep into worlds bc it is unexpected. I personally stay on map only chat and dont use global too much but a lot of multiplayer aspects can be disabled
