This is why I love you and your videos..... You keep it real life!!! How many of us have done the whole spill the pie in the oven routine, or better yet, losing our sh*t on a kid in a tense moment then end up feeling like a horrible mom afterwards..? *raises hand* I know I have!!! Many a time!!!! We are human. Thank goodness our children are resilient and forgive us. I am proud that you were a trooper and didn't edit your folly' s out, and kept on going with it. Because all of us mom's relate to that real raw emotion of when things just don't go as perfectly as planned. Julie you seriously are good mom! You are raising amazing children!

I totally agree with you Julie that the homemade crust is better! I also use cinnamon grahams and use brown sugar. My favorite is banana or chocolate pudding in it and whipped cream on top. All from scratch. Thanks

I'm not really fond of pie and allergic to peanut butter but it looks good. Favorite dessert is yogurt a bit of maple syrup and whatever fruit we have to add to it.❤🙏

Yummy!!! I have seen other people do this pie. But yours Julie is the best looking. Butter in microwave! Julie you need to use a plastic contain for butter. Items You Need! 1. Plastic container with Lid, And Paper Towels. 2. Paper Towels Count 6 Squares than pull them off the roll. ( Don't Pull The Paper Towels Apart ) You Want The Length Of Them. 3. Cut up your butter put in the bowl or container. Put the paper towels over the top of the container. Than Tuck The Right Side Hanging Underneath The Right Side. Than The Left Side That's Hanging Underneath The Left Side. It Should Look Like The Container Is Wrapped! 4. Put the timer for 2:00 minutes. Check after 15 seconds! And keep checking until butter is melted. Other Easy way in microwave! 5. Plastic contain with cover! 6. Chop up the butter than put it in the container. 7. Put the container in the microwave. 8. Cover to the Container! Take it and lay it loosely on top of the container. 9. Do Not Close The Lid Tight. 10. Put the timer for 2:00 minutes. Check after 15 seconds! And keep checking until butter is melted. Paper towels and Loose lid on top Not Tight. Work Great!!! REMEMBER PEOPLE!! GLASS BOWLS WILL BE REALLY HOT. AND YOU CAN BURN YOURSELF!! BE CAREFUL! Not Screaming!!!

In Germany we would call such a pie probably a Quiche. :D We always have quite different pies than the Americans. Looks too sugary for me but I think it was a cute family event to enjoy that pie.

That pie looked delicious! I have made a mess like that in my oven, however I didn’t have a sweet husband to help me clean it up. I don’t like pecan pie either, we had a huge pecan tree in our backyard when I was growing up. I couldn’t understand the fuss about delicious pecan dishes because I find them bitter.
