I make my own by scratch Pat in the pan pie crust. The pie crust is so light, crispy n buttery or i also make my own scratch peanut butter cookies to make a wonderful tasty crust. I also alternate Cool Whip if I don't have heavy whipping cream!! They both work but it doesn't deflate. I would increase both cream cheese n peanut butter.. try it you won't be sorry. Enjoy!! Ps: I promise this is a crowd pleasure. I usually have to make 2 or 3. So delicious. It's wonderful with ganache drizzled on the top!!

@@patriciaday9510 I’ve made a similar peanut butter pie using cool whip. The only difference is that after getting the peanut butter layer in the pan, you add a layer of hot fudge. When it’s set, more cool whip goes on top. That pie is always gone within minutes of being served lol

I used to work in a restaurant that made something like this, we always added a light chocolate ganache on top for a bit of extra chocolate contrast on the peanut better and I always thought they were really good!

It actually comes out super sweet. If you are like me and prefer a less sweet version, add a tablespoon of lemon juice when mixing. I know it sounds weird, you don't taste the lemon, it just balances out the sweetness. Also, you can use a graham cracker crust if Oreos are not your thing. :)

I usually make this with only 1/2 C peanut butter and 1-1/2 C whipped cream to make it more like peanut butter-flavored whip. You can be even more decadent by melting peanut butter for the crust instead of butter.

Real peanut butter should not have extra added oils like soybean. I have a device that stirs the peanut oil that rises ti the top of the natural peanut butter to stir it right back into the peanut butter itself. I’d much rather do that than have a peanut butter which adds soybean oil or canola oil.
