Sometimes we just need a little freshness on our dinner plates, but we don't always have all the fresh ingredients. Make it March is such a good idea, I am enjoying all the recipes and the way you substitute what you have on hand to make amazing things. I like pickled beets but have never canned them, this year i'm going to plant a bunch, some to pickle and some to have as boiled beet greens, salt pork and potato meals which I will also try to can. I buy the hydroponic lettuce and put it in an old fashion glass add water and let it grow. Cut off what you need and it keeps growing fir a while,
