At this point in his career, three years after winning the Warsaw Chopin competition, Yundi’s musicality, albeit at times a bit too impetuous, technically, poetically, he is so impeccably brilliant and perfect that he reins at the top of his profession as the world’s most coveted pianist and young artist- I am deeply saddened that his home country China ruined him by adoring, and adorning him too much as a “God” and people’s republics “Adonis” whilst he was still so young in his twenties- Had he remained in Europe to hone his artistry more and learn to and perform Chamber Music with other musicians and artists widening his Musical literature and repertoire, he would still be, be the greater artist still performing and enjoying his life accordingly being far less spoiled haven been less exposed by the frenzy Media and crazy fanatic fans in his homeland. I adore his pianism, artistry, deep musicality and intense passion, all of which I truly miss now. Yundi, please come back to your first True Love-your fabulous piano and music beyond borders- your true fans and lovers of music all over the world miss you terribly with pain in our hearts😭💖✨

I am so in love with his Scherzo's. I consider Scherzo 1 to be close to the best performance ever (Richter's is interesting but capricious); Scherzo 2 only rivalled by Zimerman. And Scherzo 3 perhaps a young Argerich.

The listings above don't appear to be correct. There are the 4 Scherzi and then it goes into the Liszt Sonata. This is my first time listening to this concert and I haven't gotten past the Liszt at this point. Maybe the nocturne is next. However, I love Yundi Li. If you haven't listened to the Chopin competition when he won in 2000 you must. Such a great Chopin interpreter.
