A really great video. You have really explained the H920 super. for all interested in a professional drone, which are correct in the H920. I fly the H480 per Real Sense and the H920. Both have their strengths. But what you forgot to say is the service of Yuneec when you need it, professional and efficient for the customer. I miss your video very well. keep it up.

It is my hope that Yuneec will offer camera upgrades for the Typhoon H, a camera/gimbal set up that can be quickly switched out. I do not understand why there are not any auto fly modes on the Tornado, perhaps down the line.

Thanks for the great review. I got my H920 in November and have the GH4 on it. Found myself curious about what it would do if you forgot to put the gear down when landing. I took the camera off and flew it out a ways. Hit return to home and held my breath! At about 10 feet, the gear came down by itself. Don't know why they couldn't have add a couple of inches to the case height so you could at least transport with the landing gear on.

Hi Adam just read in the up graded Pro- Auction Manual that with the CG04 and it s gimbal we only need to use a Total of 4 Rubbers 1 in each out corner with the locking pegs, have you seen that and tried it out .. might be better, with all the rubbers in its is good for the GB603 Gimbal + GH 4 camera (heavier set up) would like to here your comments.

Yes you can have a 2nd ST24 for camera operator. There was also talk to allow one of the smaller less expensive radios for camera control in a future firmware revision.

Smart mode was first introduced on the Q500 and establishes a safety bubble around the operator. When in Smart mode and outside the safety zone you cannot fly into the safe zone thus limiting the chance for an operator to make an incorrect stick movement and fly the drone into themselves. The downside is that if you try to take off or engage safe mode inside the safety zone, the drone will immediately try and get out of the safe zone. This can easily be misunderstood as a fly away.

Using the charger that comes with the H920 or any charger that has a JST connector in it.

Well, that was the question. I don't have the H920 yet and I will be getting the ProAction grip several months before the H920 and I want to be able to use it by itself. So, no charger comes with the ProAction Grip? OK.

You just need a JST adapter and any charger will work. Just make sure you check the settings.

No but most true professional rigs don't. If you are flying this type of rig, you should be able to fly those moves manually anyway.

It is very difficult to make a perfect circle from a specific point while focusing on it. Which is the flight controller? I think the hardware has this capability. On the cgo4 footage at the end when you yawed it seemed be quite jerky in the footage. Is there any reason for this? Great review. I really want one now.

Actually just the opposite. The yaw is so smooth that it was hard for me to tell the H920 was moving, so I was overcontrolling it with the ST 24.

+Simon Foulard Like I said that was me getting used to the controls. There is a delay due to the fact that the gimbal is absorbing the yaw and by the time you realize it you have turned the 920 quite a bit. Will take some getting used to or will have to run a 2 man operation.

Great review! I'd hate to give up DJI's burgeoning ecosystem with 3rd party apps, though. I suppose the solution is to have both! This is a very impressive machine. A few questions: 1. Does the gimbal have a slip-ring? Maybe I missed it in the review. 2. Does it really get 15min on 4Ah? That is phenomenal for a ship this size! 3. Does it support dual operators? 4. I loved the FFF footage. But do you have anything from the camera at FFF? That is a real challenge for gimbals carrying cameras that aren't symmetrical Maybe I should ask these on RCGroups? Thanks!.

Yes the gimbal does rotate 360 without stops, yes dual ST24's and operators is an option, the 15 minute is a rough guide and it requires 2 batteries to fly minimum but you can put up to 3. I would says depending on payload 30+ should not be a problem. The 920 is very light. We will be adding better footage at a variety of modes and frame rates as soon as the weather cooperates. I have watched at least 20 videos about the Tornado H920 in the last few days. No one has mentioned any autonomous programed features like "orbit" or "cable cam" or "waypoints." The Typhoon has some really good ones so I know Yuneec can offer them. I know that the H920 is a big step up into a professional filmmaker's level, but as a film maker and pilot myself, I would find those very useful on the H920 even though I can pilot manually. Are they available and just not mentioned, or is there some reason Yuneec has not included them on the ST24? (P.S. Thanks for your answer about the charger for the GB603.)

Hi thank you very much for posting this... we've been watching this unit for a while and most likely will grab it. I certainly did see the stuttering video and I also have a Panasonic GH4 and wondered if I can help explain why it's jerky:If you're using the CGO4's "auto" camera system it's going to set the shutter speed twice the speed of the frame rate: Hence, a 30fps video, the "auto" system will set the shutter to 60. This simply isn't fast enough if there's any kind of panning and results in "stuttering." On your next video, can you try MANUALLY adjusting the shutter to either 120 or even 150 and see if the "suttering" goes away? It will make your video a bit darker thus you may need to adjust either the ISO or exposure to compensate. Thanks again for your very thorough review... and I look forward to some more tangible video...

I'm not really happy with how much my H wanders up to 3 to 6 feet sometimes --even after having calibrated it (correctly) over 6 damn times! I am pretty disappointed with Yuneec products thus far.
