Ok. Ib just picked one up yesterday. The specs sheet says 1 mile range. With this upgrade, how far can it go?

This may be a stupid question since I’m still new to the drone world, but would it be possible to put the antenna on top of the drone or some other location that wouldn’t block the camera? This would keep your 360 camera view clear. Thanks!

Hey Kyle. These antennas are actually short enough where they can not be seen by the camera. And you would be able to mount them else where, but it may be risky mounting them up top considering the GPS is up there.

Thanks for answering my question. If they are out of the view of the camera then no need to mount elsewhere I guess. Also, that’s a good point about the GPS antenna on top. Who knows what interference it might cause there.

Great video! Questions: 1. Is there any noticeable improvement in video range or continuity (example: temporary loss of video when turning)? 2. Is this change as significant as antenna mods on the ST16? 3. Does it matter which antenna lead goes to which side of TH? Thanks.

If video is what you are looking to improve then an antenna mod on the ST-16 is the better way to go 3. No they are both the same and can go to either side Thanks again for watching. Hi Chris, I installed External Antenna of my Typhoon H, but the drone does not start. I followed the binding process in your You Tube still the drone won't start. I tried the process of binding, even though being Refresh or Reset there is no Aircraft Model number appears on it. Can you pls help me what to do to bind the Aircraft to my ST 16? The camera is okey and it binds and works perfectly. Thank you.

A couple questions ...... Are these for the camera or the control of the drone ? Also , are they 2.4 ghz or 5.8 ghz antenna ? And does it matter if I have a lot of 2.4 ghz interference in my area ? Thanks

These antennas are 2.4ghz and increase the range of the drone, not the camera. I am all for mods that improve performance, but I have yet to see real hard numbers about what this mod might give me. It seems everyone is saying "It will help", but no real testing before and after. So, do you have any hard data to back up claims that it will actually help?

It is primarily for those who have the original Typhoon H. These units' antennas were very flimsy and often got caught under the camera when sliding it on and off. For better range for both the drone and video feed, the 4Hawks antenna in our store is the best option. store.terrestrialimaging.com/
