Thanks for the video. Update process was not as bad as I was fretting. I flew the craft after the update with success. I noticed I can now review the videos on my controller??? I don't recall being able to do this before without SC card. I would surmise this is a low def recording on the actual controller??? How can I access these if needed? The additional camera controls (panorama) I could not get to work. I was playing around with my controller without being bound to craft. Are the settings not available while not bound?

Firman i have an 2 issues with my typhoon h puchased new in Dec 2016 so no need to update how ever cg03 firmware has dropped of screen not showing has come back intermitantly also camera rotating 360 deg and won,t stop any ideas unable to fly re camera issue appreciate any help

Can you elaborate on the step directly before step 4? I am having issues. Are we supposed to turn off both machines before putting controller SD card into the camera? I am not sure why but you cut that entire part out. Thanks

id like to know more about how this should work etc... I understand the basics of what they posted in the change log, but a better explanation on how it works and even why it was added at this point would be a good idea.... Hopefully Yuneec comments on this.

I have a quick question. Should we clear the flight data every single time after an update? If yes, why? The reason I ask is because I have seen that in other tutorials on how to update they don't say anything about clearing the flight data, and when I contacted yuneec to ask them about this the guy I spoke with said it was not necessary, but he could not explain why it was not necessary. I hope you can answer this for me.

Hi TheCrazyGremlin, yes, the flight data should be cleared every single time after you made an update. We apologize for the wrong information one of our employees gave to you. The flight data should be cleared to avoid drifts and to guarantee a clean flight.

do you need to do the CC before the accelerometer cal? In the past i always did the AC in my house on a perfectly level surface than out to the field for the CC....

Regarding the Drone firmware update, can't I just load the firmware onto a mini-SD card and upload that way as opposed to connecting via WiFi?

You can copy the drones firmware to the SD card, and install it like before. When the update process is initiated it will check the SD card for valid update files. if it finds none, it will ask you to connect to the internet and check for updated files IF there is non found on that SD card. Your can choose to update the old way or the new way (OTA).... what ever you prefer.

Hi Jules, no problem. You can do the update like explained in the video. Just keep in mind that the "update via OTA" feature will not work until all component have been updated "the old way" once.

Hey Daniel, i watched this video before, loved it. Now i come back as i will need to ask for your help. I got my H in December, with latest firmware from November on both ST16 and the H. Am afraid i had some issues with it, and contacted CS in Germany(thats where i got it from). Am afraid their reply was a bit confusing, i think they suggested to re-install firmware on both as compass seems to be facing some problems(lack of stability in wind). The question is, do i delete/remove all firmware and then do the procedure you show here, and if yes, how do i do that removal? Any help will be really greatly appreciated. If you think it would help, i can give you my email to make it easier. Hope to hear from you. Am afraid the English in Yuneec's email reply was not so clear, something like direct translated from German :) Thanks so much mate..

Hi Daniel Followed your instructions to the letter, everything looked OK but the H has a constant beeping. Went back and restarted the drone update process (cleared date first) and the beeping still persists have repeted this about 4 times. Earlier I thought everything was alright but the landing gear would not rise that is why I redid the firmware update now I am not game enough to put the bird in the air. Could you give me a clue on what to do!

Clicking Pan mode switch (the physical swith on the left top) to "F" zips the camera to front. Always has.

Need Help.!!! Hi Yuneec, i have a problem when i tried to upgrade the TH Firmware, No problem when i Upgrade the ST16 its smooth and succeed, but... when i try to update the TH is always failed, with messages "camera error" when the updating process completed 100%. Ived tried so many ways to re-try: 1. Download the new FW via my laptop and copy to SD card and put in the SD card to camera port like usually i do - result still failed. 2. and the weird things is when i try to upload the FW via OTA, it doesnt give the option to choose the wifi, the ST16 just moving forward the process to updating the TH firmware, and at the end the processing complete - the message camera error pop up - and the upgrade its failed. Now im still using camera v.22 and auto pilot.v.28, im very frustrated now, What should i do? Plz advice me Thanks.

Hi Firman, since yesterday software version 3.01 is ready for download on our website. Please try again to install the 3.01 version on your Typhoon H with SD card. If it still doesn't work please contact our service department via mail eucs@yuneec.com or phone +49 4191 932620.

Hi Yuneec, Now it works, i can successfully upgraded to ver.3.01, But Now unfortunately im facing another problem after update, my Landing Gear got malfunction, only one leg goes up half way, and the other one not moving at all, ived tried to bind and rebind, restart, plug and un plug the battery but, but still failed, please advice what should i do. Really appreciated for your fast responses. Thanks Yuneec Team!

At What point do I bind the wizard?

Hi Andy, if you want to use the Wizard, then simply go to bind mode, select "Bind" and choose Wizard. If you switch to team mode on your ST16, the copter automatically will ask for the Wizard. Fore more information go to downloads on our website and see the Wizard manual or page 16 in our Typhoon H manual.
