This is one of their most beautiful love songs they have ever written. The lyrics!!! They are sooo poetic and romantic like nothing else. Love letters from Vessel must be pure poetry worth to frame them and hang them up your walls. What a genius he is to be able to stirr those emotions in us, to make a grown man cry over a song.

I always get lost in this song and I think Blood Sport might overshadow the emotional nature of this one. I hadn't ever thought about it until now. I'm with you, give me Vessel and a piano and I'm happy. Or crying. Or both.

I started listening to Sleep Token last year for their heavier songs and sticked with Sleep Token because of the slower songs. It really is music for the broken, you can resonate with the lyrics really easy. I can't wait to see your journey. I love seeing people listening for the first time and everything in order. It makes the latest album special, otherwise you'd miss so much. You'll enjoy Blood Sport, but I can't wait to see you starting into This Place Will Become Your Tomb album with Atlantic.

The slower songs on this album are all so damn good. I mean, all the songs are fantastic in their own way, but they really punch you in the gut. if the songs don’t effect you in sense that you’ve had a toxic relationship, or you’ve lost someone you love, even if you’ve gone thru nothing emotionally damaging, his voice and lyrics are really something special in every single song and finds away to get to you. IMO. I know it isnt the same for everyone but there is also so many way to interpret it!

First of all: as I'm viewing this, you're right at 400 subs, so congrats! This song gets me a lot. It's like you said: simple, but effective. There's a video of a solo show Vessel did (called From The Room Below at Lafayette) and by the end of this one he's crying. It's just so damn beautiful. Also lowkey ruined most men for me. If he ain't thinking "And I know the angels tonight are as lost for words as I am to merely behold you as we lie down together" and "I know the gods will abandon the heavens just to find us to merely behold you as we lie down together" about me, he ain't shit. And a preemptive THANK YOU for reacting to both versions of Blood Sport in one video!

His voice is Angelic in this song. Completely understand why it hits like it does. I say you would have to have a hard heart for it not to hit you lol. Don't be intimidated by Bloodsport, lol. The album version is good and you probably will make it through that one unscathed😅 But the room below version is just Vessel and a piano. I truly think that anyone who has lost a loved one either by natural means (death) or someone had to walk away from someone else (break up/divorce) if Vessel's music and gorgeous VOICE doesn't touch you, well, i just feel sorry for you 😅😊 I understand this music is not everyone's cup of tea, but even people who don't like Sleep Token has to at least acknowledge Vessels genius. He has this way of putting emotions into words and music where most people fail to articulate them. That's part of the allure of ST. 😊 The fact that it touches you so deeply tells me that not only are you a musician but deep down you have a poetic soul. It will be interesting to see the two Bloodsports together. I love both, but even the video for From the Room Below is heart wrenching! I don’t want to put in any spoilers though. The harmonies in this one are beautifully angelic and suck you right in! It’s fascinating to me to wonder how Vessel puts it all together, where he starts from etc. So much work for even the simpler sounding songs.

In my opinion, the album version of Bloodsport is not as emotionally charged as the From The Room Below version. Except at the end of the album version, where you can hear Vessel sobbing. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

I'm assuming you're going to listen to This place will become your tomb after this and the covers? The 1st song on tpwbyt, Atlantic, it broke open some things for me that I had never dealt with. You seem to feel the music, when you listen to Atlantic, maybe set some time for yourself to decompress. I mean,you might not relate, but if you do. Just set some time for a walk and a cry. Atlantic is more emotional,imo , than Bloodsport.
