Definitely the reason why I’m such a strong supporter for rings training for the upper body. One dude I know who’s crazy strong on the bench press tried gymnastic rings when he saw me training with them. His face almost landed on the floor. Edit: When it comes to the legs, I believe weights are a must. I don’t think I need to explain why but if there’s one reason to regularly train with weights, it would probably be for the legs. I’m not saying you shouldn’t be using weights for the upper body at all. All I’m saying is you don’t really need them a whole lot if you’re trying to keep your workout simple.

Mitchell Begeng I think 1991 means the first comment deserves recognition. Or they just want a vote up for a reply lol. I'm not sure of the difference between your and their choice of word, is one more appropriate than the other? I think I understand the first comment. Lord of the rings song -1 ring and gymnast -Yuri -2 rings and that he's the best in cranebeg opinion, am I missing some deeper meaning? Thanks.

@HenningBlomGEPD

Andy Jequah Gymnasts generally don't work out. Rings require a huge amount of strengh, of course depending on the exercise but even regular dips in rings are tough to do compared to dip bars for example just because they are not stable so you work all kinds of muscle just by trying to hold the balance. The kind of exercises Yuri is doing here is a completely other level of muscle/tendon strengh that you can not achieve in a gym.
