I remember when I discovered this album and that it annoyed me that it didn't officially credit anyone else that played on it besides the keyboardist and drummer. The bass parts on tracks like this one and Strings of Light basically drive the whole thing. The track is called "Lowrider" for god's sake lol

I first heard Klaus Veen's house version of this song (huge Klaus Veen fan), then coincidentally my friend recommends Black Focus to me because I like jazz fusion. I listen to the album and lo and behold, it's Lowrider!! I will say, I like Klaus Veen's melody more than the one on this recording. Both serve their own vibes though of course.
