Possibly one of the greatest songs ever written. My older brother loved your music and thru him I too became a fan. Today my brother is gone and I too am old. One day I want this song played at my funeral.

There is no one today with an incredible voice like this man! God blessed him with this amazing talent that really touches peoples hearts. I found him in the 70s as a teenager and was hooked. I was saddened when he stepped away so I was thrilled to find him again as a grandmother. I have listened to his story and am happy to hear he followed his heart. Best wishes Yusuf! ❤

My late brother graduated high school in June 1977.. The valadictorion quoted this song in his speech. I looked over and saw tears streaming down my Father's face.. Somehow he knew his days were numbered. As the eldest of the 3 of my siblings, the only other time I saw my Father cry was when my other brother lost his leg to cancer, at the tender age of 11. Both of my brothers are gone now, as well as our Father, who passed away at the age of 46 on Good Friday1978. This song makes me cry everytime I hear it.

About 20 years ago, Cat Stevens was stopped from coming into the USA when his plane landed. How sad that this man, who was a superstar in the 70's and welcomed all over the world had to be sent away as a possible terrorist threat. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said he was denied access to the US "on national security grounds". Of course, he was in favor of the fatwa against that Rushdie guy who authored a book considered offensive for Muslim people. That was possibly in play for the whole terrorism thing. I guess the moral of the story is you can't be all "Morning Has Broken" one minute and "death to Rushdie" the next. Cat Stevens was a admirable, talented musician with a sterling voice who achieved superstardom and then lost it, big time , literally and figuratively.
