I was only 8 years old when Cat Stevens became my very first crush! There was something so extraordinarily gentle about him, and he was extremely handsome to my eyes.... I'm now 56 and he still has it! 🎶💜🎶

Yes, drop dead gorgeous in his youth. Still very handsome, but back in the 1970's, had as many groupies as anyone in the industry! ❤❤❤

Cat Steven’s, Jim Croce, Don McClean and others are such touchstones to my very young childhood and never fail to make me smile . My sisters were 11 and 13 years older than me, and I remember being able to sing all 8 minutes of American Pie with them when I was in kindergarten. This song was one of my favorites, and has only become more poignant as the years pass. …Your only dancing on this earth for a short while …The patches made the goodbye harder still Sigh… followed by a wistful smile. It’s extremely hard for me to reconcile that the beautiful, thoughtful, hopeful person who wrote these beautiful words is the same person who called for another human being to be put to death. He wrote this song while exploring Buddhism, and now won’t even sing the line about riding the great white bird into heaven because of the those are Buddhist hopes. It just makes me a bit sad.

I wonder how you can be this gifted, and leave it all behind for decades. I don't think he will ever know how much his music has meant, enduringly, to so many. And how much it will continue to mean. All I can say is, thank you.

One of the most unique song writers of the 20th century, Cat Stevens, ..with a voice that simply has no equal. Quite amazing to see this masterpiece of a person after so many years. It would also be a good thing to take particular notice of the genuine humility of this man, as he once again expresses the music that was always in him during his absence.

Cat Stevens even as Yussuf is greater as years passes, but I missed the backvocal lady angel voice as it is in the original version of this song, I guess she was Suzanne Lynch's, who gave such an enchantment to this beautiful song..!
