Once i was coming out of the tailor in brunswick Melbourne, yusef was walking past with his wife , i couldn't believe it , i had to stop and talk with him , he was so humble and generous with his time . At no stage did he make me feel i was intruding or that he was in a hurry , i felt he wouldn't have minded just standing and talking . What a inspirational man .

A poet, singer, songwriter, man of peace & charity - and so much more . . . Have loved Yusuf's Music since first hearing 'Matthew & Son' back in 1968 when I was 19. All the Music - in the same keys, and sung in that same immediately recognizable and still powerful voice - still feels & sounds just as fresh 50 yrs later . . . and I'm still a fan.

Everything about this concert is quite overwhelming. Seeing Alun there, and I knew it was going to be wonderful (and it was) - the brotherly musical magic between them, still, after all these years just made my heart smile. Love what Eric and Kwame and Trevor bring to the mix, not to mention Peter - and Alison (what a set of pipes !!). Also was entranced by the story. But along with Yusuf, himself - could not take my eyes & ears from Ian Thomas (drums). Speaking as an old bassist, his playing was such a treat. Time and groove and feel . . . he was definitely the driver of that bus. An inspired choice, for sure.

I had no clue that he began touring again until I saw on AXSTV last night 'A Cat's Attic' live from London in 2016. That prompted me to look deeper only to find other performances, ie., 1976's Majikat Earth tour, 2015's Viña del Mar & now this 2010 tour & much more. Needless to say I have been up all night. Simply awesome & timeless. I was 9 in '70 when I got turned on. Great to see him back. Peace to all

Yusef is a being of deep spirituality. "Sitting" begins at one hour. For me it describes the experience of finding unity with the Highest Power by practicing zazen. One doesn't want to sleep because of the transformations one is going through. If the eye that is open to one's "guide" never closes, dreams (the world of illusion) vanish by themselves. As for the boat waiting by the waterside, that's the prajnaparamita. What this song says to me is that we all seek divine love, and that in seeking it we find union with the Highest. It doesn't matter which path one takes to get there.
