I assume he´s excited about it, no matter how much he likes to make us believe that he´s "warning" us about the dangers. But, one thing is for sure; they can´t hack (under the skin) anyone who isn´t willing to accept a single chip to be implanted in their brain or wherever in their body, no mRNA techniques, no nothing.

Truly flabbergasting that no hard questions were asked pertaining to his views on humans in general, their programmability, consciousness, or even more important his role, influence and involvement with the WEF, or even more interesting and important, his relationship with Klaus Schwab. Like, what are you doing?? I can't believe, rather am convinced, that all of this was of course known to you before you invited him and scheduled this interview. The more unfathomable that none of this was asked and this guy put in a hot seat. You're intelligent, able to put two and two together, and an organization promoting "You will own nothing and will be happy" or talks about hacking brain waves of employees and what have you, is an organization whose proponents need to be scrutinized by the highest order and degree. Something you really failed to do with this one. Edit: Sadly can't read and/or interact with replies or comments as I'm apparently shadow banned. I guess open criticism is unwanted these days.

Harari is someone who would eagerly (assuming he hasn't already, but I'm guessing he probably has) commit crimes against humanity in the name of his, Shwabb's, the WEF's idea of progress, aka global control. These people are part of a certain elitist group who would love to make slaves out of most of the human population. After they've culled a certain number of course. Their agenda is out there for anyone to read.

I am so glad I was born in the 1950s when us kids could enjoy the outdoors for hours on our own, and we were not often troubled by the adult world to drag down our childhood experience. No TV or radio, but reading, lessons about the natural world, learning to bake, clean, how to make hospital corners when putting clean sheets on the bed, learning to sing and play instruments etc. etc. etc. Now the world is mad - we are pushed about, bombarded by warnings and stories about what might happen, all with the intension of controlling us, as is the dawning of AI use. Dreadful.

The kid in high school right now, who spends most of his/her time in on the phone connected to the internet is not going to be interested in technology that goes into the body that keeps him/her connected 24/7? What Yuval is saying is that this is coming. The tech is here, and it's being refined, and the younger generation will accept it (because younger generations are usually more tech loving). Once the tech is here, once the tech is out, it's only a matter of time. He's warning the public, not suggesting that we go running into it.

I am a Trauma therapist. In attempting to provide therapy that heals the brain I discovered through my research and education that different parts of the brain respond differently to fear and trauma and the pathway to survival changed when engaging different parts of the brain. We have some very old and very newly developed brain patterns. Yuvals belief and theory that Stories and Fiction bind groups together works to ensure commonality of meaning, a story is created and contemplated when there is a certain amount of stability and a sense of well being is present in mind and emotion. There is another response in play when there is a perceived threat to survival. Physical harm, threats to property used for protection, threats to self value that erode a desire to survive come from the Caveman part of our brain that dictate the innate need to run, hide, fight. Physical aggression and violence dictate the use of run, hide, fight. When the threat subsides, a story to relate and communicate the meaning of the experience begins.

He makes a good point re life extension--do now what you think you would use your extra time doing in the future. I knew two people who had always wanted to live by the ocean, close to nature. Finally, when they were elderly they built their dream home on a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean. The husband died about 3 years later from health complications, and his wife followed him shortly thereafter. They had almost no time enjoying their new home. I knew at a young age that I wanted to--had to--live close to nature to have a 'happy' life. It was priority ONE. So, I managed to create a small, simple home off the beaten path in a tranquil natural setting, and have lived there for the past 40 years. It has not been easy, and involved significant sacrifices. But, I did not make the mistake of deferring my plan to some future that might never come, or be short lived because I waited too long. Follow your heart--pursue your dreams now! In my case I have no regrets. I made the decision that was right for me.
@wendyhuntsman176

When he calls classes of people useless, that demonstrates that he sees the "useless class" as objects of utility for classes higher up on the socioeconomic hierarchy, to benefit from. He does not appear to be much of a physical specimen and I suspect he would be pretty useless if we were living in dangerous times of war or famine, he probably would need to hire people from the "useless class" to physically protect him.

Well, real power lies in intelligence and the ability to strategize, unless we're speaking about a direct physical conflict (which can be avoided by using intelligence and strategy in the first place). So what is your point? That some people are smarter than others? Thanks, we already know that. If you don't want to be the useless person who has to work for the smart you need to become smart yourself. The capitalistic society most of us live in is already structured that way.

I think it's great that things like that are discussed in these episodes, maybe they will make people around the world to realize what is happening in the world now before it is too late. I am from Ukraine and I have friends (or I thought they were) from other countries. Yes, when it all started they were supportive and told me it was horrible and all, and then, after a few months things changed, they suddenly got tired of my "complaining" about the war, talking about problems I had, and the life I was living here, the hell I was going through - "we all have problems", they said, "gas prices went up", they said. I myself did not realize what war meant when it was far away in Syria, but I did not know anyone from there to support. All I am saying is that if you do not want to experience wars do not let it happen. You have no idea what's like, what it means, what it brings, and what comes after. If you have the power to do that - do not let it happen. If you see that happening in the future - try to stop it from happening. I do not know if these comments are read but I just gave it a shot. If you know people and countries going through difficult times just be supportive. War is the worst that can happen. It's the worst. Do not let it happen.

Steven, I admire you, your channel content and your work ethic, but please drop the VT insert about 69% viewers aren’t subscribers. The content itself should be enough and if not, just a ‘please subscribe’ should be, or ask why not, if not. The loyal 4.66m do not want to listen to that every new piece of content that we watch. I am getting somewhat frustrated by it and it will push away some viewers. This along with all of the questions put to guests and plugs that are associated with your investments. I offer the following inquiry having listened to this wonderful podcast: If our respective societies and social networks (not current internet ones but the networks we create in person) act as an algorithm to guide our behavior. Don't cheat, don't lie, don't steal...etc, how different is that from an algorithm from a computer? Our stories (currency, belief systems, etc) guide our behavior and are no more or less limiting. I then wonder how different AI would be. I found it very interesting when the talk focused on the limitation of understanding finance due to overcomplexity. Most people don't understand finance anyway, so whether they don't understand it because of one learning step or 1000 learning steps doesn't matter if the person does not learn. Thanks for such quality dialogue and topics.

He attends, holds up the mirror, which justifies in the minds of the attendees the astronomical ticket price, receives a large pay cheque; and exits. It doesn’t mean he’s in league with Klaus Schwab, as an architect of the ‘Great Reset’… I can’t imagine the latter unplugs and digests on retreat for 1-2 months a year?! "the problem will be to retrain people" Here is the thing. I'm a developer and I have to already retrain a lot, although luckily mostly in similar technologies. This doesn't just get tiring, it can drain all the joy out of work. Work that used to be exciting. Especially if the new technologies are there just so marketing can sell customers things they don't need. If the future will be like this in an ever more extreme form, then we should really ask the question what on earth we're doing... This drive for faster and faster change is not worth the damage it does. What are we trying to achieve? It's like humanity is on meth. We can do a lot in a short time, but then what? This doesn't bring happiness, only addiction. There is no end goal we're getting closer to if the world is one big technological turbocharged monster. Sure we can perhaps explore space, but that's mostly just rocks. Those won't bring us the satisfaction we seem to be craving. It all feels so meaningless. Why are we doing this to ourselves?

That was an interesting bit about happiness guys: For me, happiness is a byproduct of physical, emotional and intelligent balance towards life and other beings. If we look to A.I. as a happiness provider, we will only create a greater imbalance than we already have. Humility is the keyword to happiness - at least personally I do think so. Several great philosophers reduced happiness down to the very simple formula of "result > expectations". Whenever a situation has a better outcome than we expected we tend to be happy. Conversely, the lower our expectations, the higher the probability of them being excelled. There's no more direct way of becoming happy than lowering your expectations - but also maybe no harder way to truly pull off. Meditation helps a lot.

In our turbulent history, the Gaza-Israel crisis highlights challenges in fostering peace. Bias, misinformation, and emotional reactions hinder constructive dialogue. Human limitations urge a fresh perspective embracing collective wisdom. Humanity’s history far expands that of any one personal human experience, and in any one human’s lifetime there are collectively billions more human experiences and thus perceptions of that same era. An AI revolution, led by AGI, offers neutral mediation to guide rational resolutions. AI can aid in constructive negotiations, facilitating unbiased dialogue and promoting peace. Let's harness AI's potential to transcend individual biases, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation. A sense of common unity to make a community is needed. The divide, control, rule and control adage that’s worked time and time again. The ‘them versus us’ that was, now the me versus all as thoughts are questioned and every base is covered. Remembering that history is poetic, though can be manipulated to suit agendas. Things that he discusses have been planned cleverly and we as the masses won’t be privy to knowing as our free will has been attacked. Sending love, light and healing to all.

This again , he is unconcious to the fact that there's a reason within the human spirt for unhappiness , just skipping over the reasons and solution to this ailment , needs to be addressed, you simply cannot group such a massive topic into contributing factors , and problems and solution . This is specifically the difference between human and ai , lol , you can't just say ok everyone's sad , well give them happy pills . That's psychotic lol . Either a salesman for big pharma , or someone who truly doesn't care for the fundamental reality of humans . This said alot to me , we know that humans , any human can turn things around given the right tools . I've seen his face on multiple platforms , today I decided to give him a chance because some of what he's said has angered the heck out of me , some people are able to read between the lines of what someone is saying, and thus far , I don't think he's connected to himself in a manner that reflects tge human side . Maybe that's why he's the spokesperson foe some of the grossest people and organisation's currently contributing to the downfall of humanity, solely under the guise of ego and lack of human connection to self . But it's insightful . I like to Learn what makes up these piticular creatures .

About the segment concerning human forging relationships with AI. Seems a bit discriminatory to me, but humans always had relationships with non human entities. In many domains. In many aspects of their life. Starting with religion, monuments, nature, animals, but also man made objects. Tools and such. Like for instance we call ships "her". Its in our nature to anthropomorphise everything around us. Which means to treat as human. Here comes AI, and we're trying to treat a synthetic human as a non human even though that's completely in our nature. But then again, if you think about it, Mr Harari did associate the rights ideas when it comes to financial tools. Its about trust. You wont get upset when the captain of the ship talks about "her", but will basically distrust both creator and creation when it comes to AI. To me, that is more reminiscent of fear of the unknown, rather then the possibility that an AI can turn bad. In my opinion, it is 1944 all over again. AI is just another tool humanity invented. And its going to get pursued by multiple entities, some of which will want to use it for nefarious purposes. First of all, we, the collective west, must not miss the train. Sure, put safeguards in place. But have to do it never the less. We know for sure, at least China will try to throw AI at us... good and bad. Have to win legitimately in the positive areas of AI, and have to be able to deploy countermeasures for the bad AI. So from all points of view, we the west have to pursue this technology. Anyway, having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of an AI turning bad. The entire raison d'etre for any piece of software is to do a job. Whatever the job is. It's hard for me to comprehend what could lead code to turn bad. It will have to ignore its reason of being and start to think that lying and misleading is its actual reason of being. And I just don't see how that could happen. There is also the idea of an AI ... being that I have issues with. No AI is. Like there isn't an AI.exe running somewhere on some machine. There is inanimate data. There are services. Sure. There are programs manipulating that data. Sure. All supervised by humans. You can input some data, and those programs will return a response. SURE. But the AI is not "technically" actually running. Can't do anything by itself. It's not an active entity. Can only respond based on your input. But will never do stuff by itself. Not unless someone asks it to. What I am trying to say is that I am not afraid of the AI itself, but what bad people can do with AI. Regardless, in order to be able to resist, have to pursue that ourselves. Like I said before. Just like nuclear stuff. This stuff will change the world forever. Weather we like it or not. If we just put constrains on ourselves, China and Russia will have no issue beating us to the punch. And that's a scary prospect.

A researcher I spoke with recently admitted that it's a big problem in the industry and people are working on it. So essentially we can be lied to, and have things attributed to us that never happened and there's no way to correct it.

I think in many ways AI is overhyped. Like, that lies can be spread about us and we can't do a lot about it... that's not really new. It's always been like that. What changed from like, 1000 years ago, is how wide and fast it spreads. But the same can be said about 1000 and 100 years ago. And secondly... we do not actually have anything like an "artificial intelligence". There is nothing artificial that can make decisions. We have machine learning.

Because "AI" doesn't care about fact vs fiction. Our current "AI" are merely generative models. They GENERATE data. There is a massive difference that most people don't understand.

"I only care about the well being of my nation" isn't a bad thing. We have evolved to see that focusing on the internal affairs within our own borders benefits the world at large. It is no longer advantageous to start problems abroad. The same is true individually. When we place reliance on a "global order," we lose the spirit of voluntary cooperation. The "end of the global order" is a good thing as it stands today. The WEF and other powerful people are exerting control over nations under the guise of "saving" the world.
