Watch this interview in Russian here: • HOMO DEUS EX MACHINA. ...
Yuval Noah Harari was one of the first people I invited for an interview almost a year ago and
understandably his schedule was full. Harari is a historian, philosopher and a real celebrity: his
books are translated into more than 50 languages and sold over 27 million copies. His lectures on
TED get millions of views. Harari is pre-booked for public talks for a year ahead. I kept trying to
approach Harari through his publishers and common friends in Moscow, Kiev, and New York. Finally,
I received a positive reply. Such an honor for me!
In this interview we mostly talk about LGBTQ issues; however, I believe that all his ideas regarding
the past, the future, and the challenges of the current times are totally applicable to the LGBTQ
community worldwide. Furthermore, when you look at the history of LGBTQ people it gives you a lot
of insights about the evolution of humanity in general.

Bestest!!! Karen, I have seen many many interviews of Yuval, and he often has to repeat himself, repeat the same old ideas that everyone likes him to talk about... but you have managed to draw him out of those boxes into many new territories and it was extremely interesting for me as a listener, to witness how this smart man forms his ideas, to trace his logic, and to be awed by his incredible mind power. Thank you so much for this awesome interview and great experience for all of us!

He is absolutely correct. Homophobia and laws against homosexuals and transgenders were first brought by the British in India. The transgender community, "Hijra" used to have normal business and they were leading a normal life in the pre-British era.

This was the best interview I have seen in my life. It has clarified so many things about totalitarianism and hatred. I will make sure to watch it more times cause only once is not enough to get all very important metters treated here.

He was right, homophobic laws in new zealand were brought by British colonists because the native population of nz maori, Maori people already had a term for people who were not straight, called takatapui… basically meant people who were not straight and it was not a derogatory term.

I think in my case at least biology is the big thing of me being gay culture doesn't explain I get aroused when I see a hot man or attracted to men only, and completely 1000 % not attracted to women, never been, and looking back now a know I was a gay kid. Or why when I first met a friend's son when he was 5 years old toddler, I noticed that he was gay, he was very camp. Twelve years have passed, he's now 17 and she just told me that he came out to her, and when he was 12 she asked me if I though he was gay, I answered yes, but told her not to rush things or confront him, let it be. Is that culture influence when you're a 5 y. o. camp kid? I don't think so.

Everything created by the mother nature ....is NATURAL ,unless conditioned or corrupted. Basic law of of fairness is not affecting others lives& not dictating or influencing too. When any organization does that is unnatural. AI ,if goes wrong in interpretation then the organization in capacity of decisions, the loss and blunders would be?? Why you want to know everything about an individual....that would make it so lackluster. Secondly human mind is evolving and fluid ...even gaseous ( ?strings) . To exactly map it for the past and future is impossible.
