Beside the fact that all humans are almost identical genetically, most Israelis and Palestinians are even more identical. Looking at the DNA evidence they share massive haplotype blocks and almost identical recombination events. So the Israeli and Palestine dichotomy is just a story.

Truly wise people are not interested in "winning an argument", they are interested in getting closer to truth, even if it means admitting that they were wrong at the end of discussion. Trying to "win an argument" almost always results in disingenuous discussion. If a person is smarter/more knowledgeable/better orator, he/she can "win an argument" while being wrong.

To tell a gay that you are normal and the same as others is really a beautiful story. You can also tell a 3 arm child you are natural and don’t need surgery. Because you exist and some others also have 3 arms.

Wow... I can feel the anger in his voice (and his face) against everything he must have endured for being gay. It´s almost like he's struggling not to lose his temper while he speaks. It's good to let that anger out, just be careful where it can lead you if you're blinded by it: just the same extremism you are rightfully condemning. May God (the real one, not the one we make up) bless you Yuval.

Is this a scientific view or a personal sincere view in scientific style? I have a philosophical half-RIDDLE for you all: Whomever lives in a plagiarized or sophismized or unnatural system, either ego-genetic, self-genetic, ego-dynamic, self-centered, or ideological or religious or political, etc, has a psychic quantum order that is essencially hyper-projective and hyper-narcissistic and hyper-compensatory. The such one of this kind will dynamically use all political, mediatic,ideological, philosophical and sophismatic means to recreate an outward reality not only favorable for the welcoming or comfort of his ideas, but also will persistently struggle to recreate an environment the most equal to his ideological system. If I am gay, I want you to be gay. I will allege homophobia, whether true or false. I will always be the victim. The limit of my uncomforbility is your surrender and living to my lifestyle, and ultimately conversion to my sexuality status. Projective phobias will armor me from possible unwanted, hostile or philosophical reactions. I will never feel self-convinced within my subconscience that I am not being ostracized if you don't accept not only me, but also what I live and practice as my truth. I am gay. Unfortunately, because I was not born this way. I was abused sexually. I lived out the gay reality to the most. Am I being homophobic or just telling the truth in freedom of speech? This will never end until the minority rules over the majority. That is why Muslims are electing muslims in the U.S.A. and elsewhere in Europe. Anatomy itsefl reflects the intention, creativity and will of God in creation. Homossexuality is self-idolatry, just like pride, narcissism, egocentrism, greed, lust, materialism, christian idolatry, consumerism, gluttony, etc. It is a type of sexual and affective self-catering retroprojection. You project what you need unconsciously over another man. It is the Law of Sin that Bible talks about. Much like a quantic law. It is a psychic quantum affecting not only gays, but also heterossexuals, priests, religious people, scientists, that is, all human beings. You cannot solve this problem by Law. That is what the Bible, especially in the book of Romans and Galatians aims to get across. I use a Life Appliacation Study Bible as my intellectual oracle for advising people to know why the Law of Moses cannot extinguish or anihilate the Law of Sin. Because it is a psychoquantic order of existence and survival. There is also the Law of Grace. God is Law and Grace. He created the universe with laws. There are biological, physical, chemical, chemical and spiritual/ psychological laws. Both the space and the mind alike have laws behaving similarly. We also have "blackholes" in our minds or psychic universe. This is the spiritual death that the Bible talks about. That is why we crave increasingly more not only for sex, but surrogately we can covet never-ceasingly more and more knowledge, information, food, affection, attention, worth, religion ( more than God himself ), material things, etc. The greatest mystery of the Bible is the so-distorted Law of Grace. John 1: …16 From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.… Anatomy itself proves scientifically that a human life cannot be formed and gestated scientifically amidst feces in the anus. It is possible though to have a mirroring relational and affective self-catering passion for another same-sex person. I am gay under the Law of Grace. I live in a kind of quantic entanglement reality. Last night I was total gay lustful desire. Today I am non-gay by Grace. It is something that cannot be experimented or controlled because it is so subconsciously intimate. By Grace only I can make choices. My spiritual or psychic quantum is that of a sinner ( someone with a Law of blackhole wanting inside ). But by Grace is can see the Light, the Truth. I live in two psychological, but real entangled dimmensions now. The Law of the Law of Love and Sacrifice of God can save me from my own self's psychic blackhole order. If your spirit has great density, it is much probable that if you have opened a spiritual/psychic blackhole of wanting inside, that you will die in depression or anguishes or lust or compensatory ever-increasing narcissism in quest for the energy of self-worth both phisiochemically and psychologically/spiritually. Doctor Yuval Noah Harari is confusing spiritual terms with human terminology. Read 1 Chorinthians chapter 2 please. It is about this. Feeling great enormous sexual-affective pleasure is possible, but not natural for God. The witness of science should be the fact of science in God's perspective. Now we think we are. But when the Great I Am reveals Himself as an infinite value, all will be considered infinitely absolute vanity. When you see sex between a male and a female, the conception of life thereof, the gestation, and even the delivery and the scientific details all of the whole process developing onwards, it is glorious because no one can outwit God. I have learned the bacteria in the vagina during birth can help the skin of the baby to improve its immunity. Fabulous! I can see the mystery of male-female relationships althoug I became gay after I was born. I would talk forever about this. That was not a speech on gay sexuality, but a personal opinion logically explained with a scientific intent. The person of doctor Yuval is nice, but he is entrapped within a psychological dimmension that he cannot see from the real scientific utmost absolute position of male-female undeniably natural fact. Here is a short space for my comment on this. I need stimuli and chance to speak out longer and personally. Bye! If you have any questions, I am very extrovertedly open and welcoming. I love to talk about this. I need to talk about this because you and I are enthusiastic about "scientific" philosophical truths or facts. But please, fallacy is denying facts even though it is scientifically enhanced with logical thoughts. wrl.riddle@gmail.com

Why attack Atal Salar without reason? There was no suggestion in his post that suggests that he would endorse such behavior, on the contrary: being a fan of Yuval Harari suggests, that he is open - minded and liberal thinking. Why attack? This is bad behavior from your side, and very narrow minded. Coming from a certain country does not mean that every person in that country shares the same opinions or the same vices. There are liberal thinking people in every place - because we are all "sapiens".

More or less. Harari forgets to mention that schitzophrenia, pedophilia, zoophilia and plenty of other such things are also a reality. Yet you would never tell a kid any of it is natural and acceptable. He also forgets to mention that the "scientific insight" that led to homosexuality being deemed "normal" was a result of political pressure (the Stonewall riots) and bias among researchers (most of the members of the commitee that made the decision to remove homosexuality from the list of mental illnesses were homosexual themselves). The truth is homosexuality is simply the most common sexual paraphilia in humans. And like all paraphilias its a perversion of normal sexuality caused by psychological and sociological issues. When genuine research was done on the subject (before 1973) several factors were discovered that were closely correlated with the emergence of homosexual behaviour. All of them linked to abnormal childhoods, dysfuntional family life and sexual trauma. However Harari, like all humans, ALSO likes to conflate the stories HE likes with reality. His sexual condition is one of these stories.

Theism just doesn't make sense. As for comfort, I find it in the mountains, waters and even in the utter meaninglessness of the world (because I can do whatever I want). Just come back to your creator for your own good brother. Whether something is natural or unnatural is irrelevant. People use this almost as synonym for good or bad but that's a fallacy. There a tons of things that are natural that are not desirable (cancer, carbon monoxide, jealousy…) and a lot of 'unnatural' things that are desirable (medicines, technology, birth control,..). Emotions such as love are natural, they are kind of natures shortcut in situations where being rational might put you or your genes in danger. You don't count spider legs and get scared at 8, you get scared at the sight of anything spider-like even if it turns out to be a toy. As a straight man it's hard for me to rationalize being gay, but I equality do not have a rational explanation for why I love my girlfriend. We can't really help ourselves, can we?

He uses 'natural' in this context as a reason why religious theology deemed certain things bad and others good, not whether they are good or bad in nature. Regarding evolution, there are several quite convincing theories for why homosexuality evolved. Fundamentally, they all have to do with the fact that the survival of the tribe is more important than the survival of the individual, and therefore, behaviours that favoured the survival of the tribe were passed on genetically. For instance, a homosexual member of a tribe might spend their time and energy taking care of their relatives' offspring, so their own genes would survive indirectly.

Would you mind considering the following: There is nothing wrong with men loving men. But sodomy and fellatio are behaviors that come from the sexualization of human orifices. The anus has the anal reflex, the mouth the gag reflex. This means that mouth and anus have instinctual behaviors to avoid penetration. That is biology and science. To the fact that sodomy and fellatio are practices that go against the body that is trying to avoid damage to the very fragile tissues of the digestive system. The digestive system is not a system for sexual intercourse but for the ingestion and secretion of food. Throat and rectum are very fragile tissues with chemical qualities that prepare food for ingestion of chewed down food and the secretion of of food. Throat and rectum are very fragile tissues with chemical qualities that prepare food for ingestion of chewed down food and the secretion of processed food. The real storytelling is that the insertion of the penis in the mouth and anus is a practice of love. It is a practice of hurt. Two men can love each other but that does not have to be sexualized. A sustainable society accepts the limits and capacities of the human body and respects that body. We can not dream the reality of our bodies with stories that contradict nature.

I understand that language might hurt peoples feelings because of its origins. Rephrase my paragraph changing sodomy for "penetration of the anus". I never spoke of god or religion. I do not follow any religion. But the truth of the matter is that there is a involuntary reflex opposition of the anus to be penetrated present in all human beings. It is innate and keeps our bodies healthy by keeping out foreign objects from out digestive system. It is a mechanism to defend the body from intrusive objects going in an open orifice that is meant to excrete digested food. There is nothing religious or pseudo-scientific about that. I believe that men and women can love each other with out being sexualized. That points out the problem, patriarchal culture.

Marco Sisti I do believe, as stated above, that men can love men. I am questioning practices that can harm male and female bodies, particularly because they are framed by mass culture as manifestations of love. If the word love does not imply respect for the integrity of the body, it is being used as to mean nothing.

@@thursoberwick1948 It is merely a counter argument to the popular narrative homophobes use - i.e. homosexuality is not natural and hence will lead to ultimate doom. Now that it's established that anything that occurs in nature by itself is natural, the other side is stripped off their major argument. The next question to address is whether humans should condone all that is natural? The answer is no, we should avoid some things. Things that harm others (like murder). Not homosexuality. This is how I see a sane argument progressing (unless we have sky-daddy obsessed nincompoops talking about fictional books. Then there's no argument.)

My view, and what I've taught my kids, is pretty simple. That sexual preference is a personal thing, and that they have no right to judge or have an opinion on the sexuality of others, and noone has the right to judge or have an opinion on their own sexuality (whatever that is). I'm 61 and remain baffled why people are homophobic and so engaged with other people's sexuality when its absolutely none of their concern. I'm hetero, and that's entirely my business, not that of anyone else, if I were homosexual (or bi or any other variation), the same holds true.

If homosexuality provided no benefit to the species surely it would have died out as homosexuals tend not to procreate. The benefit it brings as a trait is that it provided different connections, different perspectives and often skills associated with the opposite sex and this has proved of great benefit to society. The irony re monotheist religions and their contempt for homosexuality is that monotheism more than likely has its roots in homosexuality - Akhenaten , the first influential monotheist and his wife were depicted as very gender fluid individuals. Heterosexuals are obsessed with the duality of godhood. Gay people are more than content with a one sexed godhead. I would go further and say culture is basically homosexual. The ancient Greeks accept homosexuality as normal and the Renaissance was a gay Italian thing, since most, if not all the famous figures of that periods were gay, including di Vinci and Michelangelo.
@karinefonte516
@karinefonte516 3 жыл бұрын
Considering that homosexuality encompasses about 10% of human population, I'd say it brings as much benefit to mankind as being left-handed, or having green eyes. If you come to think, just because mankind can present certain traits it doesn't mean they are inherently useful. They might as well just... be. Just random variety for the sake of it.
@karinefonte516
@karinefonte516 3 жыл бұрын
@@nichotto I guess you went way too further. Heterosexuality is still dominant in human beings since as far as we know is biologically determined, and just because a certain elite on a certain culture decided it fashionable or acceptable, discreetly or not, it doesn't mean the whole culture believed the same. Besides, Renaissance was not "a gay Italian thing" just because Michelangelo and Da Vinci perhaps were gay, or we might as well say Renaissance was "an incest Italian thing" if we focus specifically on the Borgia family.
@nichotto
@nichotto 3 жыл бұрын
Karine Fonte there was at the time a joke that there must have been something in the river po because of the gay nature of the Renaissance. The driving force behind the Renaissance was gay men and their sensibilities. I know it's getting into serious cliche territory but you only have to look at your 'normal' straight male and art as such is not top of their priorities.

Then he goes back to promoting behavioral frameworks for society that have no basis in his own philosophy. It is ironic that he himself is just a product of the fiction he tells himself. Maybe I will understand him more if I read Sapiens and will do so someday. But I do not feel that I would be convinced because my main problem with him is that his main arguments and principals are fundamentally contradicting.

@@morbidgirl6808 Depends on the subject matter or the type of agnostic. If they are universal agnostics about knowledge in general then they don't believe on any kind of knowledge claim, including scientific claims.
