Absolutely. Far too many little affirmative noises and words, between every single breath or tiny pause by Yuval. And interrupting so many times with quips and jokes and distractions, hijacking the attention and interrupting Yuval's train of thought. A great host gives the guest time to finish his/her thoughts, and even continue on to the next, not interrupting or saying anything until the guest really comes to a natural stopping point. Kara is clearly trying hard, but, as a host, at least here, SUPER annoying. After a certain point, I couldn't watch anymore.

Look, Yuval's work is solid, but if you want to hear his ideas without constant interruptions, check out his interview with Robin Ince. It's way more eloquent and flows better. And hey, if you're after a truly great interview on a different topic, give Episode 79 of the Inner Cosmos podcast a shot. David Eagleman and Joel Pearson have this amazing back-and-forth that's both fun and enlightening. My absolute favorite thinker being interviewed in a way that is painful to watch. The constant itch for interruption here on Kara's end is fascinating and typically provides little to no value. The conversation predominantly consists of Yuval sharing thoughts of critical importance paired with Kara's never-ending interjection of "HEY please look at and listen to ME".

From the Q&A, thought-provoking Qs: 1:03:55 I really enjoyed Sapiens, and there was one particular part that gave me pause, if I could read it. You say, “cognitive dissonance is often considered a failure of the human psyche. In fact, it is a vital asset. Had people been unable to hold contradictory beliefs and values, it probably would have been impossible to establish and maintain any human culture.” So I agreed with almost everything in Sapiens, and this one idea, it just completely flabbergasted me. It's the exact opposite of what I believe, and I was wondering, this was written a while ago, I was wondering if the political experience, especially in this country, if you've updated your opinion, or if you could elaborate. 1:10:33 I read about the vacillation in capabilities between platform AIs and individually controlled AIs that might even run on a gaming computer, say. What's that going to look like moving forward if individuals or affiliation groups can control their own agents? And what are the implications? Will it just amplify their tribal, they'll incentivize it to say, give me QAnon? Or will they, and what would it look like to say, give me the truth? 1:14:40 (This last Q is reserved for a female audience by the interviewer) Okay, I wrote this down because I'm a little shy about this. Would you agree that Europe has a lower tolerance for fake news and holds media professionals to a higher standard than the US, who is often criticized for the systemic spread of misinformation? If so, how do you think we can hold the media accountable and combat misinformation? Should there be rules that prevent certain news outlets from labeling themselves as news if they don't adhere to specific standards? Shouldn't there be requirements such as you're not allowed to tell more than 5% of verified BS?

If anyone has 8 hours to spare at any point, get ahold of a documentary which mostly consists of a long interview with Marie-Louise Von Franz, one of the pupils of Carl Jung. They both knew Wolfgang Pauli. Basically these were some of the most fascinating people who've ever existed. The documentary is called "The Way of the Dream". As a contemporary guide for use with Jung's writings and those of his pupils and associates, there's also a book written a couple years ago called "Jungian Reflections on Systemic Racism", bringing some necessary racial context to depth psychology. Anyway, the witch and her bird's nest made me think about what Marie-Louise Von Franz would have to say about the writers of witch hunting manuals!
