For all of you who say it should be senpai and not sempai: In Japanese when you have the sound 'p' or 'b' after 'ん'(n) it's actually pronounced as 'm'. So when you write this word with English letters it doesn't really matter. Basically both ways are correct. Yes, writing senpai is more common and I'm not sure why I chose to write the less common way but it's not a mistake.

I really hope there are no hard feelings and that he’s proud of Yuma and Shoma for their Olympic placements, even if they medaled and he didn’t. He wasn’t too far behind Shoma, and he’s always seemed like a really nice guy to his kohais, so I just hope that he’s proud of them instead of being discouraged.

I think he’s the kind to focus on becoming a better version of himself than comparing himself to others. Of course winning is great, but when he wins or loses, he doesnt blame others. Its a battle with himself. So i think with right now, he’s disappointed he didnt land the 4a and ofc theres the regret of not getting a medal but it doesnt have anything to do with Shoma or Yuma. They did their best and he did his. I highly doubt he has any hard feelings on anyone. His clear focus on his goals and his own skill is one of the qualities he has that truly makes him the goat. And its difficult to do that! Toxic competitiveness only blocks one’s own potential bc theyre too focused on winning against people instead of becoming a better version of themselves. Yuzu has so much passion and love for his craft that he just wants to share it and have people appreciate it. And to one day reach his “perfect Yuzuru Hanyu” 💖
