He is one of the most coolest, humblest and hard working man, I've seen (through interviews, videos, news etc) or heard of. But i literally can't stop laughing after the first few seconds in this video's when he said "I'll land the 4A before you die". He is one of the best skater out there. I believe he'll land the 4A, but first I'm glad that he's taking a break to look after his well being. plus he's a survivor, he survived the earthquake, which is a great feat, that day changed his life, but even through it all he survived and became the face to the figure skating sports and an idol to many.

Hahaha yeah in the press conference, the translator had to twist the words to "I'll land the 4A as long as you are alive" to not sound rude! Then some editors who understood Japanese pointed it out one day and that's when we realised how funny / cool he is! He's really the best!

Some "anti- Yuzuru" critiques say that Yuzuru is just a narcissist and the arrogant one. But they are totally mistaken. Yuzuru's "confidence" that appears to be narcissistic comes from HARD EFFORTS he continued to seriously make and challenged to make. And he is a man of "walking the walk" not "talking of the talk." Only those who wouldn't know how to improve themselves by making efforts are the ones who always criticize Yuzuru, because they don't understand "how" Yuzuru appreciates the meaning of human life and the value of making efforts. And they never know what Yuzuru tries to represent on the ice is "TRUTH" OF LIFE. That is why audiences are magically absorbed into his "ice world" when he skates.

I like how finally someone who is so popular finally said that effort may not always lead you to win in life but it is something that does not go in vain. Being someone who has given a lot of effort in my school days but still not being able to win has effected me a lot . All the people around me said that i may not have put that much effort into practice along with my parents even though I rarely slept to prepare for the competition. This was the particular moment that attracted me to hanyu.

Those post Worlds 2019 interviews were brutal. First there were the "American" reporters in droves who really never cared until an American won. Then not only were they all puffed up with their guys victory, they were like "so what happened to you" and "how does it feel to lose" when talking to Yuzu. It didn't take them any time at all to drop the pretense of nice and raise the snark.
