Yuzuru Hanyu is such an amazing person. He is so respectful, nice and polite to everybody around him. In this video I show only a small amount of his kind gestures to other skaters, coaches and his fans.

more: • him making sure to fold his country flag neatly before putting it aside with respect so that he could pose for the cameras • him walking to a post-competition interview carrying his pooh-san, towel, water bottle, flag, and just a lot of things all in his arm but then realizing it obviously wouldn’t be appropriate if he put the flag on the ground so he asked someone else to hold it out of respect • him offering all the press conference people holding big cameras to hand over their phones to him so that they can all take pictures with ease • him helping the staff with ice holes and evening out the ice surface after a gala ended even though no other skater was left in the rink • him helping the staff during his commercial shooting with their camera equipment and moving it around even though they told him he didn’t have to, but he replied, “i’m an athlete, not a celebrity” • him getting shouted at by a younger skater in TCC, his training rink, because he was “getting in the way” even though it was the other way around because it was Yuzu’s turn to practice his program, not the other skater. he apologized anyway and bowed to them with his hands together like this -> 🙏🏻 • him bowing to the ice both when he enters and leaves the rink, saying his thanks. sometimes he kisses it too after a good program, or pats and rubs it for “being good to him” during a clean performance • him bowing and greeting the important people behind him - the technical control panel of the event, etc - during the Skate Canada ‘19 victory ceremony ^there’s so much more to include. he is the epitome and embodiment of pure respect and incredible sportsmanship.

I guess I have watched a lot of Yuzu videos because I can recall all the things that you have listed 😂 But yes, he is such a great gift in this sports. A great ambassador over-all for his other-worldly skills and outstanding sportsmanship. We are truly lucky to live and witness Yuzu’s greatness 💕

I love when Shoma bowed to Yuzu first at 2015 GPF final medal ceremony respecting his senior because I always see Yuzu bows to others, their culture is amazing, being mindful and respectful to others. Yuzu is a very rare human being that I admire so much. He IS the greatest athlete.

Nathan's coach asking for Yuzu's autograph is so heartwarming 😭♥️ but it also reminded of Yuzu's story he once told when some bad people at his school back then would mock him and ask for his autograph only for him to find them in trashcan. Sighs. He's kind, respectful, overall a good man but man, he still went through sad things like that. 🤧 Now he's got millions of supporters from all over the world. I'm happy this family is growing more and more. We're all lucky to be in the same era as this man. ♥️

I forgot ice skating the twenty past years. When Alexei Yagudin retired it did not interest me anymore... How I regret it today! I discovered Yuzuru long ago but at that time he was very young. I did not pay attention. And in February 2022 I suddenly had the inspiration to search for the Olympics ice skating results. Since then I fell for Yuzu. His elegance, his passion, his determination, his incredible skills on the ice melt my heart. I love his skating and I love the person he is. Thank you so much for posting the video. There are not enough words for describe the magnificent and beautiful human being, the unique athlete you are, Yuzuru.

I have a favorite singer that is above all the singers I have listened to in my life. He sings from his heart with every inch of his body and with his beautiful soul. Following only the rules he makes himself and that is exactly why he is considered the worlds best. His name is Dimash Kudaibergen from Kazakhstan. For me Yuzuru has exactly the same qualities but only as the best skater in the world. It would be an unmatchable combination if Yuzuru could skate to one of Dimashs powerful songs.

Yaaaasss I love both Dimash and Yuzu as well! They are both so very humble and true to themselves, and so kind to others. I would love for Yuzu to skate to a Dimash song, but I think he probably won't out of respect to Denis Ten. Denis was such a good friend to Dimash and had already planned to skate to SOS I believe. Maybe Yuzu could as a tribute to Denis but otherwise I don't see it happening 😢

I know that feeling! Up untill this year there wasn't an ice rink in my city and I had to take a long ride to go to an ice rink, but this year an ice rink was finally opened in my city and it's like a dream come true for me. I hope you'll have a rink closer to you soon!
