I hate when people compare Dave and 2pac but at the end of the day I do see what people are saying. Huge stars in the rap game well-respected but not only rap music in general. Dave was composing music at an early age; he started writing lyrics at 11 after watching his older brother practise rapping at home and he taught himself piano after receiving an electric keyboard from his moms for Christmas when he was 14. They were always musically inclined they always have a message for the people in their music, they're both incredible actors and writers/poets but at the same time they are completely unique

I’m from London and it ain’t how it’s shown the the rest of the world. The streets are cold here.. differently. People dying here. The war against postcodes n areas goes so deep, you involved whether or not you want to be involved. Little brothers and cousins holding knifes to walk to the corner shop because this shit is that real, the crime is normalized from a young age n everybody feel like they got something to prove n another body is another win for their area. How is the UK gonna blame gang violence on the culture and how it’s glorified in the media when in reality there’s kids that ain’t even seen social media yet. Kids that be playing football n are approached by olders to run drugs for them. How you gonna blame that kid for saying yes? How you gonna blame that kid when his got a single mum struggling at home with a hungry belly and holes in their shoes. How you gonna blame that kid when for the first time they’ve got money in their pocket, a brand new phone, and some sense of respect from the olders in the area. How you gonna blame that kid for the rolemodels they choose when they had none to start with. How you gonna blame that kid for what they become?

The black hand bar is from a show called peaky blinders it’s about this gyspy gang (the Shelby family) from Birmingham uk in the 1920s and in one of the seasons the Italian mafia gives them the black hand meaning there gunna kill everyone of them for killing one of theirs, it’s one of the best shows ever made and all of you would end up binge watching it 10/10 program

10:20 is a reference to Peaky Blinders in one of the seasons the main character Thomas Shelby and his close relatives reciece a letter in the mail with a black hand on it which is meant to represent a mark on their heads from the Italian mafia. I think Dave is saying he brought his family and friends back together like Thomas Shelby did because the main plot of that season is that at the beginning of the season most of the family hated each other and by the end they manage to reconnect. Or more literally after receiving these letters Tommie calls the family from all over the world back to Birmingham for a family meeting. If you’ve watched the show you would know that Tommie is essential to the family and basically carries the whole family on his back to the top of the world
