It's my favorite aria. To be clear, I'm a sucker for most operas... knowing I'll hear a heavenly sound from a human voice - even one note is enough for me. It affects me quite strangely. Been this way for decades and no other form of music comes close. (And I'm not including Bocelli. I mean opera.)

It is very sad he died... But now I cry for one of his students, Toše Proeski, macedonian pop singer, ambasador of Unicef, ne of the best people in the world. He died in car accident on 16.10.2007, he was just 26 years old. They both had amazing voices and they both were angels...That's why they are now with God, singing together...

My favorite song from Rigoletto. I saw it live. I wish I could have seen Pavarotti, but alas, he died when I was seven :( Much before I got into singing Opera. I can't help but sing along!!! It's so B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.!!! I wish men actually sang women love songs to woo us... I would be his right then and there XD

such a wonderful experience after going through so many classical pieces still being able to come across a long missing one (sorry i never touched on rigoletto before) like this impressive quartet out of verdi's unimaginable genius. i guess this is even rare among all verdi's works, which also reminds me of the statement in the movie 'Amadeus' that it is only possible through music to have multiple human voices in complete harmony. pavarotti is just stunning, as well as the soprano behind.
