Hello Yvonne, I just discovered your KZbin channel this afternoon. I watched you make the green turquoise / wire woven leaf/tree pendant necklace.... the whole video. As a fellow beader/jewelry maker /crafter, I thoroughly enjoyed your “creative process”. Then I watched “ HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN AN OVERSATURATED MARKET”. I was so I encouraged!!! Then I watched the organization video snd was encouraged even more. Keep on being your resourceful snd encouraging self. I’m a retired homemaking teacher ( a subject that is no longer offered in schools...thus 2 generations of women who cannot hem a pair of shorts or prepare a nutritionally balanced meal ...sorry about the soap box) who turned my hobby into a craft show/cottage business and have been “benched” by COVID regulations. I’m trying something different with a friend who has a year-round booth in a church-owned & operated store front that rents space to local artisans. I need new ideas and your channel has stirred my creative juices.

Kathleen, I just read your comment and I remember HomeEc in school and it made me smile! Thanks for teaching all the important sewing and cooking lessons that I agree we all need! Unfortunately, today, kids are not learning “how to do” stuff! It seems that if it’s not on screen, they don’t want it!

For discussion purposes I will disclose that I am a 42 year old woman, so I was in middle school in the early 1990s. In 7th grade everyone was required to take home ec AND shop classes. Cooking, sewing, wood shop and metal shop, one per quarter for the school year. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Anyway, back on topic, Yvonne if you ever see this, I have delighted in all of your videos I've seen so far. I recently came to a place in life that I can start enjoying my hobbies guilt-free.... so i'm super inspired to pull out my jewelry making stuff and get creating again!! Your sense of humor is right up my alley. I am grateful to the Universe (aka youtube algorithm :D ) for sending you my way.

Very valuable tutorial. My father-in-law had a machinist business, so I am able to use many of his pliers and tools for hobby jewelry work. He had a pair of pliers that I had NO idea what it was for. I was mystified. Then I saw you using yours, near the end of the tutorial. It's called stepped-up flat nose pliers. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us all.

Has anybody told you that you have a very soothing, easy to listen to voice? Well you do! And as an old lady with hearing problems, I also wanted to compliment you on using soft non-intrusive music--often video makers use louder and/or busy music that distracts from the vocal part. And finally--thank you for the beginner tutorials, it's really helps to see the very basic stuff repeated enough times for beginners to really get the hang of it. Cool video!
