As a Hongkonger, thank you for coming to HK even if so many local characteristics of HK have disappeared during the pandemic. I wish I could somehow bump into you and take a photo with you, but sadly I am busy with my research report and projects. I'm so glad you're enjoying Hong Kong, Yvonne! Watching it gives me so much nostalgia. All that HK lo mein, me jelly. Yes, the subway system in HK is SO nice, I wish we had it over here, too. OMG THE BUBBLE MAKER TOY! That unlocked a childhood memory, so thanks for that. Also, seeing the 7/11 with all the drinks reminded me, I recommend at least trying the Schweppes Cream Soda (忌廉) somewhere. It's pretty unique in flavor, and I think it's yum.

This was awesome! Also, I used to play with those bubble straw things as a kid. I think you can still get them at the Dollar Tree here in America. They were always sold next to the poppers & prank stuff like the whoopie cushions/ fart poppers. The smell was strong but it was sorta fun.

Crossing the harbour from Kowloon to the island would have just been too involved chaotic for the short amount of time I had there.
