When you consider that the fair Patty has a pretty decent vocal range, as did her predecessor, it just shows you what an amazing guy Geddy Lee is, when his early vocals present a challenge to basically any singer out there, male or female. Patty, BTW, met the challenge quite nicely. 😬😎

Really good job. I like them because they don't come out and try to look like the members of Rush with robes and wigs. The drummer didn't change his set up of the drums to simulate Neil's kit. They simply let the music speak for itself which I appreciate.

good point, I know someone who has played drums for a major artist for decades, he gets paid a stipend to not play with anyone else, he's not crazy about it because when the artist doesn't play for a year or more he isn't making what he could, but a contract is a contract

I really like Patty’s vocals. This is my first time hearing her sing in place of Rocky. Both are really good singer, but Patty has more rasp, grit and distortion to her voice, like Geddy did in his early years. Patty really sounds great on these songs. She sounded really great on Anthem, a real difficult song to sing. Bill, Tim and the drummer (sorry don’t know his name) we’re all great as usual. Tim is the best at doing Geddy. One of the things that gives Geddy that signature sound is how hard he attacks those bass strings. Geddy also accents certainly phrases by popping the string with his fingernail. Tim has all those dynamics down perfectly. There is a Canadian band named New World Men who also rock. A three piece band with a vocalist who plays the drums. Singing Geddy while playing Peart would seem an impossible task, but Mat, the drummer, handles both expertly. He sounds a lot like Geddy when he sings. Other than them, Lotus Land is worth checking out also. The bass player sounds a lot like Geddy and they’re just a three man band. They won best Rush tribute band at RushCon a couple of times. A must to check out here on KZbin is a guy named Tyler Warren, who recorded the entire Permanent Waves album on his own. He played every instrument and sang every lyric. It is jaw dropping. Not only did he play every instrument with precision, but even the mix and production is spot on. He also captured the sound of each instrument perfectly. He really nailed the tone of Lifeson’s guitar on that album. It is a must-see to believe. I wish he would cover Moving Pictures the same way.
