YZ450F Crosskart Roll Cage Build ~ Ep3

In today's video we fabricate most of the roll cage for the yz450f cross kart on our Siegmund weld table. We teach how we find bend angles and notch angles. We use a Nargessa cc60 bender but any bender will do the job! Don't over think it. We also use a modified tubing notcher clamped in the vice.

I really like those white wheels you have on the Candy-Kart. I've been pondering on getting a set of them and some hub adapters for my atv. Make it stand out a bit from all of the normal atv wheels you see people buying. :)

Great seeing Braxton back on a break.That cart is looking Good with all the cage additions.Will the engine still slide in easily?For a 'reverse'you may want to look at "RatherBeWelding" for his 'shifter-cart'and just slot a disc,and another pinned to the drive axle.?

For reverse you could add a small flywheel to the other side of the chain drive differential and run a starter motor.

Looks good, although I am worried about your head (helmet) clearance now it has a lean. You would lose about 3-4 inches by setting it at 60 degrees, which means your helmet is now touching 🤕.

Talking about maths. I agree Geometry is a good one and if you make it into Physics that can also be useful. Like for a stupid simple example: How much horsepower the engine has and how heavy the vehicle and person, and at what gear ratio will tell you how wide the tire should be, and the circumference would be best. To wide and it will cause unwanted friction and to skinny won't put the power down on the ground. To big (round) no torque, to small, too much torque and the wheel just spins in place.

Red beards garage I have a question. In the past you have suped up coleman minibikes. I have a coleman ct200u with stock 196 motor. I bought the warehouse upgrade kit for it and 18lb valve springs. I installed the new valve springs, carbeurator with new jet (85) and emulsion tube, and exhaust. It will sputter and backfire but it won't run or idle. Can I get some advice on what I might have done wrong? 🏍🇺🇲
