Update on this - I finally killed it about a month ago, so it lasted me a year. I was not gentle on this screwdriver, I routinely forced it to do loads it isn't designed for, and eventually the gearbox gave up. If I hadn't brutalised it, I'd wager it'd still be going strong. I have since reviewed the Sequre SQ-ES126 and found it to be faster and more feature rich, but also considerably more expensive. As a cheap electric screwdriver, this thing is still a great buy, IMHO. Just keep it's limitations in mind, and don't expect 10 years of service from it.

The power screwdrivers for micro bits are extremely handy and will save your hands/wrists when you get older. Especially if your job consist of small electronic repairs, trust me I know. My company bought me a Jakemy brand with USB C charging. I already feel a difference in my right hand from using the powered screwdriver.

Hi there, new to your channel and watched a few video’s now and love this content. I purchased about a year ago a generic branded version of rechargeable screwdriver very similar looking to this one without the led indicator here in Australia 🇦🇺 from eBay for about $30AUD roughly £16-17 w/ free postage(only came w/ about 6 or 8 screw head fittings but I useD my other screw fittings) and I’ve used it dozens of times and recharged it about a dozen times and it still work as good as the day I purchased it. These for me are a great tool to have as I do some repair/upgrade/diagnostic work on pc’s, laptops and the one off mobile device for family and friends and they help me save some time and the battery life allows me multiple uses before a recharge is required. Keep up with your great content, 👍🇬🇧🍻 cheers

For devices without any easy way to check the charge state, one thing you can do is to measure the charge current. When the charge is low (typically 0-65% for li-ion chemistry), the current will sit at the max the charging circuit allows, but then the current will begin dropping. So you'll know if you're in the top 1/3 of SOC or not, and if so, roughly where in the top 1/3. And that's assuming the charging circuitry doesn't do anything weird... so YMMV. But it's a cool excuse to have a USB power meter around.

Tip to remove rounded screws - use an elastic between the driver & screw. Push on the Z axis, and then start to turn slowly. Might have to repeat this step a few times. You could also solder one screw onto another back to front, then use a screw driver and carefully remove the screws :)

Adam, This review is helpful and as always, well spoken. Yes, I seem to enjoy a video that when I can understand what they are saying. But it needs the finish like an Benny Hill moment when drinking your cup, the screwdriver is spinning the laptop and table around in circles, until you notice it. Then the old spit take when you see it! Lol. In the over 60 group, I still like slap-stick comedy! Best of luck, don't break your arm.
@felixlersha4 жыл бұрын
Have you tried holding it reverse grip i.e. thumb up? Tech Yes City recommends this method although he has a chunkier form factor one than yours so maybe YMMV. It allows him to lightly hold it and for the body of the screwdriver to rotate at the end so it won't over tighten or jump screws.

I bought a Wowstick 1F+ a few months back and I absolutely love it. It came with so many accessories I didn't expect, that it made the purchase even sweeter. I'm using the iFixit bits though, as the bits that came with it don't seem to be that good.
@JessicaFEREM3 жыл бұрын
I like multi-bit screwdrivers because you can have more esoteric bits in a smaller place, but i will say that you should also keep a pack of full screwdrivers just in case you need to get in deep, maybe consider getting a pack of long and skinny bits as well. although if you do a lot of work that requires some real torque or you need larger bits, I highly recommend getting one of those full-size electric screwdrivers, you can get them for about $20-$30 and you can get a drill bit to precision if you need it, since those are more like foldable drills than what you have. some of them use AA's but you can get rechargeable AA's or a rechargeable screwdriver I wouldn't rather buy a full size version because they're cheaper and they're better for more use cases since they are just a folding drill

Overall you're correct and for the cheap hardness of durability factor for the bits honestly doesn't matter if you use the absolute correct bit for that head type lol but what I did was swap out the built in battery and slapped in 2 newer small form factor lithiums, I can't remember the cell type right off the top of my head but upped the voltage and it's 3 times as powerful and dangerously torque happy but I had min come with a 108bit 62hr on the hardness factor and it's been my savior for all my electronic repairs etc.. Then for 25$ I got a Dremel brand full sized mobile screwdriver with 6 torque settings:vs and omg the last 6 months both drivers are still top notch!! So don't get discouraged of others experiences it'll last you just fine for the price lol good luck and have fun. Ohh and don't be afraid to really wrench on it, it'll hold it's own and do you well

The difficult part is to find the right bits for the proprietary screws, other than that, if someone could convince me that a screwdriver would last for the rest of my life and it will make my life easier, I wouldn't mind spending 200 dollars or euros on the thing. In any case, nice video.

Really, it can turn screws but not tighten or untighten them with its power (it is stopped easily between 2 fingers. OK it may be useful but it is far from professional gear ;)

Cool! How, the heck, do you keep track of all the screws you pull out?
@Adamant_IT4 жыл бұрын
There are patterns to it. Sometimes all the screws are the same anyway, sometimes they're the same except for two large ones, which will go into the hinge corners. Other times I figure it out by looking at how deep the screw hole goes, or even just trial and error. The best way is to have a tray or mat that you can arrange them out in order or by label, but once you've been doing this long enough you just figure it out.

people don't realize how much time is wasted removing and installing fasteners, a fast power driver is a must if you regularly work on 5,10 or even more puters or tv's daily, as battery powered screwdrivers go, that one seems relatively quick but it's been my experience that none of the dedicated electric drivers are fast enough when you are really in a hurry which is why i usually end up just using my 18v full size drill driver......

Depending on who you talk to .... this is a real "marmite" subject - like discussing care & maintenance of bicycle chains with somebody aged over 60. I have the "GongJiawenwan" version which you must remove the battery to charge. (10440). It lives with a 1.5 phil bit in it and that's it. I wouldn't be without it now - it's just so quick. £22 ebay. The one contra to these is that you need to watch out for "play" in the drive mech to make sure you get the correct bit size - especially torx. Otherwise.... stripped heads. It's one of those things you only do once. Like me. Toshiba - rather helpfully - write the T number next to their screws. So simple and kind of them.
