Cool tech and user design in this tool, the twist direction selection is ingenious! 👍 Not overcamming small screws is also impressive. I'm still sticking to manual screwdrivers though, because I like feeling the threads and pressure, plus I don't have to think about maintaining one more battery device. Thanks for the demo. 🤘

I would still prefer crazy amount of screws to what the newer models offer, they're welded in and you have to essentially tear the keyboard out.

Yea... I've always mocked this laptop for the crazy screw count, but they do ensure that the replacement keyboard fits just as good as the factory one, and the alternative is rivets or heatstakes 😩

My PC toolkit consists of... a 1980's Snap On small cross head screwdriver... Its just brilliant being small form factor and it upsets ppl when I go to work on their PC and they are expecting cases and toolboxes and I whips out my little screwdriver and works me magic with it hehe I'll have to drop in sometime as I am needing a bit of ram and couple other bits and pieces as I want to downgrade my Coolermaster HAF for something slightly less gargantuan.

This is impressive the torque is fully electronic controlled so theres no need for a clutch. I've been looking for something like this since my Jakemy JM-Y02 plus flimsy clutch/plastic tension ring broke
@pilotavery
@pilotavery 2 жыл бұрын
The torque sensing is kind of a lie, bit it's simple. If you rotate it in the direction that you want it to spin, as soon as it bottoms out, it actually twists it back in your hand so the amount of torque that's placed on it is the exact amount of torque that your hand is putting on it. If you grip it really tight and keep turning it will continue turning against your hand, but if you relax your hand and let it untwist a little bit it will stop
@neiliewheeliebin
@neiliewheeliebin 2 жыл бұрын
@@pilotavery The retreat your referring to is a seperate function. I don't use the ES126 anymore the battery life sucks on it so I got the MINIWARE ES15 instead, it's had 7 firmware updates & torque/load sensitivity is improved. I'm guessing it works by sensing a current load increase the deeper the screw goes in & adjusts itself accordingly
@johnnythefixer

A great idea would be if it could do a half turn semi clockwise before turning clockwise when putting screws in, so it ensures that it's using the original thread, rather than cutting a new one.

Ah, I'll have to look for that, it's very hard to find the Kraftforms in a _useful_ set, I bought most of mine individually. But I really need a second set, so I'll go look that up. I agree, if you use screw drivers every day, they're absolutely worth the investment.

I see many people using pressured air to clean the fans when they are still plugged into the motherboard, when you do that the fans starts spinning and maybe faster than it normally does and when you do that you are using the fan in reverse which will generate a voltage which will go back to the driving transistor and possibly blow it up. I saw you doing that too, it will go right 1000 times and then it goes wrong once and you have more problems.

this screwdriver lasted me for about 2-3 months before I ran into issues. imo, the minute you try to use it as a normal screwdriver and unscrew a stubborn screw manually, it will lead to something becoming disconnected or some other issue. to keep it simple, it keeps asking me for an update or it only works for about 1/10th of a second before turning off. I don't get it. at this point I got a cheap tacklife electric screwdriver and would probably consider 3d printing an adapter to work with the smaller bits. that's just me though. if not 3d printing then use glue or something.. idk.

Hit and miss. Sometimes it's incredibly handy because the turn action gets the screw started (loose) and then the motor does the rest for you. But as I mentioned, sometimes it's annoying because your wrist is already twisted, and you can't adjust your grip because you need to press the button as well...

Maybe im a dinosaur, but i like the tactileness of using the Weras, not to mention at least feeling like im doing a bit of real work. Its not like are paving driveways here for a living is it? How has this driver held up over the past nine+ months since you made this video? I've gone through two of the other type (nearly identical to your YZH), the first lasting almost a year and the second dying after less than six months. I'm considering spending the extra money on a better driver and wanted to check to see if you still feel this one is worth the price.
@Adamant_IT
@Adamant_IT 2 жыл бұрын
Still going strong. I think part of it might be that the torque control prevents you from brutalising it as much. The YZH driver I was really brutal on, I would use it on big screws ruthlessly - you literally can't do that with the Sequre. But for laptops it's still fast and smooth and my main-use screw driver. I still use it in conjunction with other drivers - I hate swapping bits constantly while working, so if a laptop is 80% T5 and 20% PH0, I'll have a T5 in the sequre and my Wera PH0 next to me.

So this is basically an upgraded clone of the Miniware ES120/ES121? It even runs the same firmware. Some shops are listing this as the successor to the ES121. Do you know if it's made by Sequre under license from Miniware, or is it actually just a clone?
@neiliewheeliebin

It's a rebrand of some sort with no active development whatsoever. The MINIWARE ES15 is a much better option, it's up to its 7th firmware update released the other day,
@mattbell1907

I use a Xiaomi similar to the YZH for phone repair. I haven't had issues with it being too much torque since I adjusted how I use it. I hold it loosely in a way that the handle will spin the button out from under my finger once the screw bottoms out. For higher torque screws I just grip tighter.

I found the battery life to be too short for any serious use,it has a 180mah AAA/10440 lithium cell which is tiny. Also the button location is awkward to use. It doesn't appear to have any active firmware development either which is disappointing. I own both the SEQUIRE ES15 & the MINIWARE ES126 which is a much better option
